Yes, the voters of the fair state of Alabama decided they would rather have a DEMOCRAT represent them in the senate (for the next two years anyway) than a religious zealot who maybe-probably used to chase inappropriately young females in his younger days, 40 years ago.
Fortunately in the next election the Democraps will be defending many more seats in the senate than will the Republicans so there is a fair chance the Republicans can hold on to a usable majority in the senate down the line, if they are at least reasonably careful who they choose to run.
The split on the Moore-Jones race was a tad less than 2 percent when last I saw the numbers.
The Republicans should have chosen a candidate with less baggage.
