Edelking was on the Long Island RR with her husband, son and two other
adults on the way to a Knicks game ten days ago. One of the other
adults was the couple's pastor. While they were looking for seats two
people, a Ms.Kristen Digesaro and Mr. Justin Linkerman, began to go off
on them verbally. They apparently did not like the fact that Edelking
was dark complexioned and had an accent. Besides the verbal harassment
Digesaro threw beer at Mrs. Edelking. The incident was recorded (of
course). The couple suggested loudly that immigrants were unwanted in
this country and they should leave.
After the conductor was contacted the assaultive couple left. They were, however, easily identified with the video recordings.
Three
days later both Linkerman and Digesaro were fired by their employer,
Empire Toyota, the management of which was not amused.
The
two assholes are being charged with aggravated harassment and
endangering the welfare of a child by the Manhattan D.A. Hate Crimes
Unit.
