remember less than ten months ago when I was wondering when the DJIA
would hit 37,000. This last Friday the DOW closed below 30,000 and is
officially in bear market territory. Again. Must be an anomaly. Joe
says the economy is just great and he wouldn't lie about something like
that.
Hang on! Historically, the worst month for the stock market is September. In US markets, September has seen an average S&P 500 decline of 0.5 percent since 1950. The Dow Jones Industrial Average has fared even worse, losing an average of 0.8 percent over the same period.
