A POSITIVE OUTCOME

The scene
outside a middle school in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, on Wednesday
morning after police used “deadly force” against a student who brought a
weapon near the school
A student at the Mt. Horeb, WI. middle school attempted
to enter the school Wednesday armed with a long gun of some sort. He
did not manage to get inside the building and was in fact shot to death
by the cops.
At least one of the cops was wearing a
body camera. There was an armed school resources officer who had some
level of involvement in the situation.
The shooter has been identified unofficially as Damien Haglund, age 14, an 8th grader at the school. The school cluster apparently has some sort of decent physical security and the shooter was engaged outside the school. He was armed with a long gun. They are still being fairly tight with the info.

ReplyDeleteTurns out it was a pellet gun. The cops still seem justified assuming there weren't reasons to believe it wasn't a higher powered rifle.
