KNIFE VS. GUN, NOT GOOD ODDS

A few days ago a man tried to get into a NYPD station in Brooklyn.  He had no luck.  He was approached at the rear of the station by a female cop who told him he needed to go around to the front door if he had some business inside.  He slashed her across the face with a 14" knife and fled.  Other cops pursued and caught up with him.  He came at the cops with the knife.  The cops terminally rehabilitated him.  

Sounds reasonable to me.
