A ROSE BY ANY OTHER NAME........

The Stockton Coalition For Shared Safety.   Sounds good, doesn't it?  Kind of warm and fuzzy and generally positive.  Much better than, say, The Stockton Coalition Of Psychopaths To Endanger Children, or Stockton Socialists To Destroy Public Education.

This is the name of the group that DEMANDS that the Stockton Unified School District shitcan it's police department.  They want to end the "cradle to prison pipeline" whatever the fuck that is.  

Their "new vision for safety in schools" means zero cops ever respond to schools but instead social workers and behavioral health professionals will keep the peace.  New classes in Ethnic Studies will ensure that all students are respectful and otherwise wonderful to each other.  Also more music and art classes will reach out to marginal students who are otherwise uninterested in school.  

Damn, that is so wonderful I just might laugh my ass off the rest of the day.
