The Armenians have been a pretty well screwed over bunch of people.  Not as bad as the Jews, but still pretty bad.  A lot of them live, or lived, in an area called Nagorno-Karabakh, a semi-autonomous region between one portion of Azerbaijan and Armenia.  A newly brokered Russian deal is giving the area back to the Azeris from Azerbaijan, who were kicked out about 30 years go so the Armenians could have it.

The Armenians fear attacks by the Azeris so they are leaving the area.  Many of them are setting fire to their houses as they go out to door to keep the Azeris from occupying the houses.  

The locals have been fighting over the area for 1100 years that they know of, probably longer.
