On Monday the governor signed S.9229-A into law. It takes
effect immediately and outlaws possession of any ammunition feeding
device capable of holding more than ten rounds. Period. (I wonder if
the cops are exempt. In much of New York the cops carry personally
owned and not department weapons.) There is nothing in the law about
compensation.
I can't imagine this surviving a court challenge, but then again two years ago it was hard imaging it happening at all.
