Just ask Kevin McCarthy.  There have now been eleven ballots to elect a new Speaker of the House.  That is not a record, but it is a recent (100 year) record.  

The 20 hold-outs, who view McCarthy as a RINO (with some justification) are expressing their unhappiness and making him look like a chump.  And to some extent themselves, IMHO. When you have only a four vote margin over the Democrat-Socialists you have to get your shit together  McCarthy isn't there yet.

There will be a speaker.  Eventually.  It may even be a Republican.  Right now I am content to sit back and watch the clowns.  At least if congress is doing nothing they are doing nothing detrimental.
