I remember one of the things I was taught when I first
went to work in law enforcement was that I should regularly run "what
if" scenarios thru my head so if something happened I would have a
reasonable idea of how to respond without thinking about it overly much.
Two
days ago a business man in Houston acted decisively. He had just
returned to his business from his bank at about 11:00 a.m. and, as he
entered his business he was hit in the back of the head from behind. He
staggered, turned, and saw two masked men standing behind him. Without
further bullshit he pulled his gat and shot and killed both of them.
When the lead started flying a nearby car took off at a high rate of
speed.
I sure do like happy endings.
I qualified yesterday and cleaned my carry weapon until it shined like a new penny. Always be ready.
