By Bob Walsh

No photo description available.

February 3, 1959.  65 years ago.  Buddy Holley, Richie Valens and J. P. Richardson, along with their pilot, died in the crash of a light plane near Clear Lake, Iowa on the way to North Dakota for a gig.  The tragedy was commemorated in a manner of speaking in a popular song by Don Mclean in 1971.
