RUST ARMORER FOUND GUILTY

Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, the set armorer for the movie Rust, was found guilty yesterday of manslaughter in the death of the cinematographer on the set of the movie RUST.  The jury was out less than 3 hours.

Assuming the news got it right (a dangerous assumption) Ms. Reed actually loaded the weapon prior to its use.  She was not on set when the shot was fired.  Apparently-allegedly the security of the firearms and ammunition on the set was very problematic.

It is not clear if this will make things better or worse for Baldwin on his trial.  My guess is that if Ms. Reed was GUILTY that will tend to strongly mitigate Baldwin's criminal liability in the matter.  

Having stringent safety procedures doesn't mean shit if you don't enforce them.
