The scene of the car crash that killed Olivia Flores
Minnesota State Trooper Shane Roper, 32, had priors for
having a heavy foot. One the day of the incident in fact the records
show him cranking up 99 mph several times and once he managed 135 in a
55 zone, without lights or siren. He has had four prior accidents due
to speeding or inattentive driving.
About
seven weeks ago he was doing 83 in a 40 MPH zone without lights or
sirens when he smashed into a Ford Focus occupied by Olivia Flores, 18,
an about-to-graduate high school senior.
Roper
is currently on paid investigative leave. He has been charged with
second-degree manslaughter, criminal vehicular homicide, reckless
driving and five counts of criminal vehicular operation.
I
strongly suspect Trooper Roper's career is pretty much in the crapper
even if he does NOT go to jail or prison. My guess is he will go away
for a while. Deservedly it would seem.
EDITOR'S NOTE: The crash also injured two of Olivia's friends, two occupants of another car and a ride-along passenger in the state patrol car. That sorry asshole Shane Roper should be locked up in prison for the rest of his worthless life.
If his agency had documented proof of his terrible driving record he should have been fired a long time ago. (USA)
