DEAL IN THE UKRAINE

No, not a deal to end the war, at least not directly.  Allegedly (assuming the media is getting it right) the U.S. and the Ukraine have signed a mineral acquisition and development deal.  Or maybe they are ABOUT to sign the deal.  Or maybe they are THINKING of signing the deal.  Or maybe they are thinking of getting around to maybe signing the deal.  Or maybe they are definitely ABOUT to sign the deal.

I suspect it will happen and maybe happen soon as it would be beneficial to both parties.  That doesn't mean it will happen.
