STILL STUCK ON STUPID

The legislature of the formerly great state of California is proceeding with SB627.  This bill, if passed into law and if it were actually enforceable, with prohibit cops from concealing their identity in most circumstances, including federal officers, which of course state law has no effect on.  The way the law is currently written would prohibit cops on riot control duty from wearing gas masks or face shields.

The bill of course is meaningless.  It is playing to the radical base in CA.  The more radical nutters in CA are still pitching the idea that ICE is "kidnapping" people, including American citizens, off the streets and whisking them away to nobody knows where.  AT least one official is asserting that people have the "right" to forcibly resist ICE agents who refuse to show their faces because they might NOT be ICE agents but might actually be criminal kidnappers.

Its idiotic, but a significant chunk of the Brie and Chablis crowd are eating it up.
