Lots of concerned Texans exercising their 2nd Amendment Rights to purchase and keep firearms
By Trey Rusk
I
took my family, kids and grandkids to the Monument Inn yesterday for
lunch. I saw two middle aged gentlemen openly carrying holstered
pistols in the restaurant. This is legal in Texas with a CC License.
However, seeing open carry it is unusual. After lunch all 12 of us
visited the San Jacinto Monument and Battleship Texas. This is Hallowed
Ground. I want my grandkids to appreciate what mainly immigrant
settlers accomplished on the San Jacinto Battleground. I hope they
understand the sacrifices that were made here for freedom.
On
the way back we passed by the Pasadena Fairgrounds and Convention
Center. A sign announced a Gun Show. I have never seen such a large
amount of vehicles. The parking area was full and people were parking
in the field next to the building and it was filling up. Just lots of
concerned Texans exercising their 2nd Amendment Rights to purchase and
keep firearms.
I'm
sure the Presidential Election results have Texans worried. I'm
concerned but not overly so, because Texas remained Red. With the
thousands of Californians flooding the state to escape tyranny it
appears that many of them voted Red too.
So,
I will increase my vigilance, lead by example and keep my family
close. I will not be intimidated or live on my knees because this is
Texas and I'm a Texan.
