GETTING BLASTED AT BROWN

This video grab from a CCTV footage released by the Providence Police Department shows the suspect in the Brown University shooting walking along a road near the campus in Providence on Dec. 13, 2025.

 

 

There was a noteworthy shooting incident at Brown University in Rhode Island on Saturday.  A total of 11 people shot.  Two of those died.  Most of the others are critical but stable.  No known motive.  No identification of the shooter.  They THINK they have some mediocre surveillance footage of him walking away from the area.

The cops are saying little.  Some semi-informed speculation is saying that this was a grotty little domestic situation with a ton of collateral damage (as opposed to a political-terrorist act).  Fortunately the University has an EXCELLENT medical school with a first-class trauma operation.

The University is situated within the city of Providence and there are things like transit very nearby.  The bad guy could have been quite a ways away in a very low-profile fashion before a perimeter was set up or could be hiding out in place.  Several hours later the University is still on lock-down.  

There are 200 + cops on the scene from various jurisdictions.
