Louis Farrakhan, the ‘Minister of Hate’, has always blamed Jews for all the suffering of poor blacks, knowing that his hateful pronouncements will be eaten up by a receptive audience.
Poll after poll has shown that the majority of African-Americans harbor strong anti-Semitic views. Blacks have forgotten or disregarded the fact that Jews, more than any other white group, stood besides them during the civil rights struggle. Apparently it doesn’t matter that many Jewish students from colleges up north came down to the deep south to fight for black civil rights, with two of them paying for their efforts with their lives.

It’s almost enough to make one question the wisdom of allowing free speech to the terminally delusional.
The ancient, unwaveringly anti-Semitic Louis Farrakhan publically accused the Jewish community, otherwise referred to by him as “Satan,” of “pushing the United States into war with Libya and Iran” at the Nation of Islam’s annual meeting, JTA reports.
The next time this menace tries to deny that he’s anti-Semitic, as he has before and no-doubt will again, please remind him and the world of this occasion.
The unrepentant hate-monger is quoted saying, “President Obama, if you allow the Zionists to push you, to mount a military offensive against Gadhafi, and you go in and kill him and his sons as you did with Saddam Hussein and his sons, I’m warning you this is a Libyan problem, let the Libyans solve their problem among themselves.”
When did Obama go in and kill Saddam Hussein and his sons? Did I miss something?
And, what exactly, I wonder, is Farrakhan warning the president about? Is he suggesting that he will loose his followers violently against the country or the president personally, if he dares step into Libya militarily?
Or is he threatening the Jewish community, maybe?
In any case, if I were the intelligence or law enforcement community, I’d be keeping a wary eye on this nut job and his lunatic minions.
Farrakhan, who, the story notes, has a long history of anti-Semitic and racist statements, also said that “Zionists dominate the government of the United States of America and her banking system,” clearly indicating the crackpot keeps copies of the “Protocols of the Elders of Zion” and “Mein Kampf,” in his back pocket.
“Some of you think that I’m just somebody who’s got something out for the Jewish people. You’re stupid. Do you think I would waste my time if I did not think it was important for you to know Satan? My job is to pull the cover off of Satan so that he will never deceive you and the people of the world again,” he’s quoted saying.
The Anti-Defamation League condemned Farrakhan’s statements, calling him the “Pied piper of hatred,” and questioning what it will take for his followers to notice and condemn the virulent anti-Semitism that has “suffused the Nation of Islam’s message” for the past two years so completely as to have become a “drumbeat heard across the organization.”
During the convention, other speakers accused Jews of controlling the media and called for the Nation of Islam’s anti-Semitic books to be taught in schools nationwide, the story notes.

John Foreman said he wanted revenge for the death of his son Jason, who was kidnapped and killed by the then 16-year-old Michael Woodmansee in 1975.
The boy was presumed missing until 1982 when Woodmansee, now 52, tried to lure another child into his home in South Kingstown, Rhode Island.
The incident led police to discover Jason’s bones in a dresser along with a journal which detailed the gruesome killing.
Woodmansee is believed to have eaten his victim, but this was never proved in court because in 1983 he pleaded guilty to second-degree murder before a jury could hear the full case.
He was jailed for 40 years as part of a plea bargain meant to spare the Foreman family from hearing the grisly details of their son's death.
Now, however, the murderer faces being parole for good behaviour by the end of the year - 12 years before his sentence is due to expire, according to the Providence Journal.
But, far from being spared pain, Mr Foreman is unable to forget his son’s death and is refusing to forgive Woodmansee. Furthermore, he is willing to risk being imprisoned himself.
‘I do intend, if this man is released anywhere in my vicinity, or if I can find him after the fact, I do intend to kill this man,’ he told WPRO-AM radio.
Woodmansee, who lived up the street from the Foreman home, snatched Jason on the day the boy's mother, Joice, celebrated her 25th birthday.
As a result, what should be a time of happiness for the family, has become forever associated with pain and heartache. She remained broken-hearted until her death in 2000.
Woodmansee later told police he had fantasised that ‘it would be easy [to kill someone], easy to get away with it, and some form of fun’.
For eight years, frustrated authorities conducted a nationwide manhunt for Jason, fearing he had been kidnapped.
No one suspected the full, horrific truth - that a disturbed killer had taken his life, removed his flesh and hid his bones.
But in April 1982, the secret emerged when a bearded Woodmansee invited a 14-year-old newspaper delivery Dale Sherman into his house.
After giving the boy with alcohol, Woodmansee attempted to strangle the teenager.
Because the allegations involved a boy, investigators decided to question him about Jason.
And despite initially denying the charges, he shortly thereafter confessed to sexually assaulting and killing the child.
But after sentencing Woodmansee, Rhode Island Superior Court Judge Thomas H. Needham ordered his journal and all other evidence in the case sealed.

It's lunchtime in Shanghai, and for many, it's time to visit the Colonel ... Colonel Sanders, that is.
There are few things in American culture Chinese people love more than that finger-lickin' good mixture of herbs, spices, and chicken.
"In China, young people have really caught on to KFC," explains one customer.
From McDonald's to Burger King and Cold Stone, America's food chains are doing all they can to tempt Chinese taste buds.
But so far, it's KFC's estimated $3.4 billion Chinese empire that's capturing the holy grail of the new global economy: Chinese customer loyalty.
Sam Su has headed the China wing of KFC's parent company, Yum Brands, since KFC first came to Beijing in 1987.
"The timing was perfect, and we were just opening up so we were not just chicken, we were a piece of Americana," said Su.
This version of Americana's clearly a hit. Yum Brands' 3,900 restaurants in China earned more revenue last year than all 19,000 Yum! Brands restaurants in the U.S. including KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell.
That's because in China, the company doesn't need to split its profits with franchise owners like it does in the States.
Former company executive Warren Liu literally wrote the book on KFC in China.
"Ninety percent of KFC restaurants in China are owned, invested and directly managed by Yum Brands," said Liu.
So, what's KFC's secret recipe for making all that money in the first place? A successful mixture of Kentucky's finest with Chinese classics.
A typical Kentucky Fried Chicken meal in the U.S. features original, extra crispy and a Pepsi.
And what do you get at a KFC in China? Chicken with Sichuan spicy sauce and rice, egg soup, a "dragon twister" (KFC's take on a traditional Beijing duck wrap), all washed down with some soybean milk.
Some worry these mountains of food are quickly translating into super-sized obesity rates. And KFC has its own concerns that continual inflation and recent salary hikes will force the restaurant's rising prices even higher.
But no doubt about it: For now, this restaurant chain has struck gold - battered, crispy gold.
"China is pretty much the best for every industry in the world, and every major company cannot think of a strategy without China," said Su.
With a new location opening its doors in China every 18 hours, few here can conceive of a world without KFC.

DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND STUPIDITY
Before you start reading about the stupidity of the Department of Homeland Security, I want to remind you that Mexican President Calderon, the U.S. State Department, the FBI and ATF, have all been deliberately lying to us when they claim that 90 percent of the guns in the hands of drug cartels come from gun dealers north of the border. There is ample evidence that the overwhelming majority of those drug cartel guns come from other sources.

Atlanta --The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is facing criticism of a program that funneled illegal guns into the hands of Mexican gun runners, drug gangs, and other criminals after two of those guns were found at the scene of the Dec. 14 shooting of US border patrol agent Brian Terry by Mexican bandits in Arizona.
Under the ATF’s Operation Fast and Furious, gun smugglers were allowed to buy the weapons in the hopes the US agents could track the firearms to the Mexican drug runners and other border-area criminal gangs as well as build cases against the gun dealers themselves.
Also facing criticism are the rules of engagement employed by US border agents, who are trained to use nonlethal force when possible.
The Dec. 14 shootout in Peck Canyon, near Nogales, Ariz., occurred after border patrol agents halted a group of armed border bandits and fired at them with bean bag guns. The bandits then opened fire with live bullets from AK-47 submachine guns, killing Mr. Terry.
Critics of US border patrol procedures, including Terry's family, say that Terry, a former Marine, was operating under specific Department of Homeland Security (DHS) orders that required agents encountering suspected illegal immigrants on US soil to fire nonlethal bean bags before using live ammunition.
DHS has denied the bean-bag gun allegations, saying agents are trained to use "less-than-lethal force" weapons but that no specific orders overriding the best judgment of agents have come down from management.
Similarly, the Department of Justice initially denied that ATF knowingly allowed guns to be sold to drug runners, a statement contradicted by later reports from whistleblowers and admissions from officials that the agency did lose track of hundreds of guns as part of Operation Fast and Furious.
The events in Peck Canyon place into sharp relief the political problems of managing the increasingly violent borderlands between the US and Mexico, where treatment of illegal immigrants on the US side and the flow of arms from the US into Mexico have become powder keg issues in the relationship between the two countries.
"This is a management issue in both cases," says Mark Krikorian, director of the conservative Center for Immigration Studies. "The bean bag thing is a symbol of fake border enforcement, where this administration wants to go through the motions of border enforcement without actually doing it. An ordinary agent is not going to say, 'Let's shoot bean bags first’ if they've got guns. I also can't imagine an ATF guy getting a call from a gun store where they say, ‘Hey, someone is buying a bunch of AKs, it smells bad,' and where that agent then says, 'No problem.' "
Sen. Charles Grassley, the top Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, has led the congressional criticism of Operation Fast and Furious, saying recently that "it's time to step back" and reassess the operation.
Senator Grassley also says documents he has procured contradict ATF statements that the agency wasn't aware of tracked guns disappearing into Mexico.

Atlanta --The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is facing criticism of a program that funneled illegal guns into the hands of Mexican gun runners, drug gangs, and other criminals after two of those guns were found at the scene of the Dec. 14 shooting of US border patrol agent Brian Terry by Mexican bandits in Arizona.
Under the ATF’s Operation Fast and Furious, gun smugglers were allowed to buy the weapons in the hopes the US agents could track the firearms to the Mexican drug runners and other border-area criminal gangs as well as build cases against the gun dealers themselves.
Also facing criticism are the rules of engagement employed by US border agents, who are trained to use nonlethal force when possible.
The Dec. 14 shootout in Peck Canyon, near Nogales, Ariz., occurred after border patrol agents halted a group of armed border bandits and fired at them with bean bag guns. The bandits then opened fire with live bullets from AK-47 submachine guns, killing Mr. Terry.
Critics of US border patrol procedures, including Terry's family, say that Terry, a former Marine, was operating under specific Department of Homeland Security (DHS) orders that required agents encountering suspected illegal immigrants on US soil to fire nonlethal bean bags before using live ammunition.
DHS has denied the bean-bag gun allegations, saying agents are trained to use "less-than-lethal force" weapons but that no specific orders overriding the best judgment of agents have come down from management.
Similarly, the Department of Justice initially denied that ATF knowingly allowed guns to be sold to drug runners, a statement contradicted by later reports from whistleblowers and admissions from officials that the agency did lose track of hundreds of guns as part of Operation Fast and Furious.
The events in Peck Canyon place into sharp relief the political problems of managing the increasingly violent borderlands between the US and Mexico, where treatment of illegal immigrants on the US side and the flow of arms from the US into Mexico have become powder keg issues in the relationship between the two countries.
"This is a management issue in both cases," says Mark Krikorian, director of the conservative Center for Immigration Studies. "The bean bag thing is a symbol of fake border enforcement, where this administration wants to go through the motions of border enforcement without actually doing it. An ordinary agent is not going to say, 'Let's shoot bean bags first’ if they've got guns. I also can't imagine an ATF guy getting a call from a gun store where they say, ‘Hey, someone is buying a bunch of AKs, it smells bad,' and where that agent then says, 'No problem.' "
Sen. Charles Grassley, the top Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, has led the congressional criticism of Operation Fast and Furious, saying recently that "it's time to step back" and reassess the operation.
Senator Grassley also says documents he has procured contradict ATF statements that the agency wasn't aware of tracked guns disappearing into Mexico.

Conventional wisdom states that Mexican organized crime is fighting the government of President Felipe Calderón because he has confronted corruption and ended a long-time pact between the former PRI governments and cartel members. This explains the escalation of violence and the shift of crime gangs to other lines of business such as human trafficking, counterfeit goods and selling drugs in the local market.
However, this is false. The above explanation does not address why in the last 10 years—under PAN administrations—Mexican cartels have become the No. 1 suppliers of meth to the U.S. market; the price setters in the cocaine market; the No. 2 producer of heroin; netted profits over $75 billion in counterfeit goods and piracy, or why cartels run regular operations in Italy, Africa and Argentina.
Mexican organized crime organizations have gained extraordinary power in the past 10 years, due to shifts in the drug market and their ability to use Mexico’s logistical infrastructure at a very low risk due to the lack of a national security and crime policy. These elements have provided a fertile ground for corruption in law enforcement agencies and society. Today we have a highway of illegality in the country, where any black market product can be traded by organized crime with the support of top-notch logistic experts in the cartels who can outperform the chief of operations of DHL or Federal Express.
Plan Colombia was very effective in undermining the Colombian drug cartels. The increased interception of cocaine shipments in the Caribbean, combined with a decline in consumption, reduced their ability to determine the price of cocaine. Mexican cartels would only pay as much as $8,000 per kilo upon delivery, down from the $17,000 the Colombians would receive by selling it on the streets of Miami themselves. The dependence on Mexican cartels grew. In 1999, under the PRI, 54 percent of cocaine consumed in the U.S. passed through Mexico. Today, under President Felipe Calderón that number is 90 percent.
Under Plan Colombia, customs developed a modern IT platform that enabled them to exchange information with other countries in order to detect chemical precursors for the transformation of coca leaves to cocaine. This strategy reduced the output of cocaine and disrupted the manufacturing process. The same strategy and the lack of trade agreements with other countries stopped Colombian cartels from being a player in the meth market—the new drug that seized the U.S. and Europe.
On the other hand, the lack of control and corruption in Mexican customs facilitate the transport of pseudoephedrine (a nasal decongestant used to make meth) to the country. Mega labs are set up in Mexico in areas controlled by the Sinaloa Federation—Zapopan and Tijuana – where 50 percent of meth sent to the U.S. is produced. Based on the consumption patterns in the U.S. and output estimates, it is calculated that revenues from meth ($6 billion) double the net sales of cocaine ($3 billion).
After 9/11, poppy production was destroyed in Afghanistan, and the consumers needed to find a supplier. Mexico, a long-time producer of low quality poppies, increased the production from 6.6 tons in 2002 to 18 tons in 2007. Mexican black tar, as it is called, is of lower quality, but the gap in the market enabled Mexican cartels to gains market share on the east coast and central U.S. Asian gangs who controlled heroin distribution lost turf to “La M” (Mexican crime organization), which became a one-stop shop for drug buyers.
Due to acquired volume and the control of the retail chain in the U.S. market, Mexican cartels gained a strong leverage in setting the price when purchasing cocaine and ephedrine. In the case of cocaine, the fragmentation of Colombian cartels and the increased seizures by the Colombian Navy and U.S. Coast Guard reduced their ability to provide large volumes to their clients. As a result Mexican crime organizations paid a fixed price upon delivery to Mexico, giving them control over their Colombian counterparts and reducing their risk. In the case of ephedrine, Mexicans have taken advantage of the lack of control in Customs, the ease to set up meth labs, and the reach of the distribution network with the Mexican gangs, to increase their bargaining position due to the large amounts they produce.
As a result of global market conditions, a superb logistical base without government supervision and a 10-year lack of investment in security under the PAN administration, the Mexican cartels have been empowered. That’s why, however much success governments have in killing drug lords, while the current market conditions prevail criminal gangs will continue to be able to challenge the state.

KEPALA BATAS (Malaysia) - THE public have been advised against drinking the 'holy water' showering down from a tree in Pinang Tunggal and another in Sungai Petani, Kedah.
Consumers Association of Penang rural education officer N.V. Subbarow said it was foolish for anyone to wipe their bodies and faces with the water or to drink it.
'People are merely exposing themselves to unknown risks as the authorities have yet to run tests on the water. They should be reminded that many diseases are spread by animals and insects, including leptospirosis which is spread through water,' he said on Saturday.
Thousands of people from as far as Johor and Malacca have been flocking to see the two trees since Feb 26.
Witnesses claimed that they had felt showers from the trees - a 12m-high petai tree in Kampung Lembah Raja, Pinang Tunggal and an 18m-high wild tree in Taman Ria Jaya, Sungai Petani.
Former Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia lecturer Professor Zaidi Mat Isa had said the showers could be water discharge or urine from cicadas during mating season. Mr Subbarow said those people making a fast buck from selling the 'holy water' at RM5 (S$2.09) per glass were being 'irresponsible'. It was only a matter of time before Arab leaders and Islamic figures started accusing Israel of being behind the unrest sweeping the Middle East.
“I am going to reveal a secret,” the embattled president of Yemen, Ali Abdullah Saleh, told supporters on Tuesday. “There is an operations room in Tel Aviv with the aim of destabilizing the Arab world. The operations room is in Tel Aviv and run by the White House.”
Saleh claimed that the US is actually aiding and directing the mounting demonstrations against his regime, but that the “Zionists” are ultimately pulling the strings.
“We say that this is a Zionist agenda,” declared Saleh, insisting that pro-democracy revolutions across the region are part of a “conspiracy that serves Israel and the Zionists.”
Yemen is a major battleground in the war against Al Qaeda, and Osama bin Laden’s group would love to be able to establish a firm stronghold in the southern part of the Arabian Peninsula. Until now, Saleh had been allied with the US in preventing this outcome.
The Yemeni president’s accusations were echoed by American Muslim leader Louis Farrakhan during the annual gathering of his Nation of Islam near Chicago on Tuesday.
Farrakhan publicly urged US President Barack Obama to not allow the “Zionists to push you to mount a military offensive” against the crumbling regime of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, who has been slaughtering demonstrators in an effort to hang on to power.
Farrakhan said Gaddafi is “my brother,” and insisted the Libyans must be left to work out their problems on their own. He insisted that the only people who benefit from the turmoil in the Middle East are the Zionists, who, according to Farrakhan, “dominate the government of the United States of America and her banking system.”
For good measure, Farrakhan, who is African-American, accused Jews of having been “disproportionately involved in the slave trade.”
Farrakhan was adamant that he has nothing personal against the Jews, but said it is his duty to “pull the cover off of Satan so that he will never deceive you and the people of the world again.”

HARLIGEN, Texas, March 3 (UPI) -- Police say a South Texas man used his 8-year-old stepson as a lookout in an alleged home break-in in La Feria.
Fabian Losoya and Ernesto Alanis face burglary charges after Monday's home burglary, the Harligen (Texas) Valley Morning Star reported.
Investigators said Losoya took his pregnant common-law wife and two stepchildren, one 8 years old and the other 6 months old, to the alleged crime.

It never fails to amaze me that there are so many educated idiots teaching in our nation’s colleges and universities. Even though this demonstration of a motorized dildo by a naked couple of exhibitionists took place after the class period ended, it could only have taken place with the approval of a sicko psychology professor. If he wanted to provide his students with a dildo demonstration, I am sure he could have found a number of videos showing their ‘proper’ use. Allowing a live demonstration clearly crossed the line of propriety.

CHICAGO — Northwestern University's president said Thursday that he is "troubled and disappointed" that a psychology professor allowed a couple to engage in a sex act involving a motorized sex toy in front of dozens of students, and he is calling for an investigation.
Hours after accounts of the Feb. 21 class appeared in local newspapers — including the university's defense of Professor John Michael Bailey's decision to allow students to witness the act — Northwestern President Morton Schapiro strongly criticized the lecturer.
"I feel it represented extremely poor judgment on the part of our faculty member," Schapiro said a statement issued by the Evanston university.
A guest lecturer had been discussing bondage and sexual fetishes during Bailey's human sexuality class. According to published reports, a couple at the lecture decided that a video the students were watching on the female orgasm was not realistic and gave a live presentation involving the sex toy.
Schapiro said it did not matter that the incident occurred after the class was over, that attendance was voluntarily and that the students were warned of the explicit nature of what they were about to see.
"I have recently learned of the after-class activity associated with Prof. Michael Bailey's Human Sexuality class, and I am troubled and disappointed by what occurred," he said.
"I simply do not believe this was appropriate, necessary or in keeping with Northwestern University's academic mission," he said.
Evanston police say it will be up to the school to determine if the demonstration violated any local ordinances.
The guest lecturer asked the students if they were "ready for a live sex show," student Justin Smith told the Chicago Tribune.
At that point, Faith Kroll took off her clothes and she and Jim Marcus climbed on the stage and, as about 100 students looked on, the pair demonstrated the use of a motorized device with a phallic object attached to it.
The lecturer, Ken Melvoin-Berg, told the newspaper that the students were told about issues such as safety and consent.
"It is probably something I will remember the rest of my life," Smith, a 21-year-old senior, told the Tribune. "I can't say that about my Econ 202 class and the material that I learned there."
The university will pay several hundred dollars to Melvoin-Berg, the co-owner of Weird Chicago Tours, for the lecture. He said neither Kroll nor Marcus — exhibitionists who are more than happy to have people watch them have sex — would be paid.
Kroll said she enjoyed the demonstration and Marcus said it was all designed to teach, not titillate.
"I certainly have no regrets concerning Northwestern students, who have demonstrated that they are open-minded grown-ups rather than fragile children," Bailey told the Tribune.
Bailey did not answer calls to his office Thursday.
I wonder how many of the students, both male and female, were giving themselves hand-jobs while they were watching the naked couple doing their thing?

DORINA LISSON OR BOB WALSH: WHO IS THE IGNORANT ONE?
Just when I was beginning to like human rights activist and anti-death penalty zealot Dorina Lisson because we began to communicate and disagree without resorting to derogatory name calling, Dorina reverted to her old nasty self yesterday by saying Bob Walsh had an ‘ignorant mouth’ and that those of us who disagreed with her on the death penalty were ‘ignorant’. She went further by painting the United States as uncivilized.
Let me refresh the memory of those who have been following our debate all these weeks. Bob Walsh, several other correctional officers and I have been giving her a bad time because Dorina had excoriated SOME correctional officers as abusive and brutal uneducated idiots, and ALL those on the execution team as ‘crazed sadist bullies.’ She accuses MANY correctional officers of engaging in ‘predatory animalistic behavior towards prisoners.’
Lisson, who refers to our prison inmates as ‘caged human beings,’ also implied they are not well fed by saying that ‘The USA correctional authorities should seriously consider improving food quality that is fed to prisoners.’
Dorina’s latest bad mouthing came in response to how Bob replied about the food prisoners are served and his disagreement with her on the death penalty. Here is what Bob Walsh said:
“I knew I would be unable to convince you Dorina. You have a classical liberal mindset that is incapable of acknowledging error. (Did you ever get around to reading that book I suggested, The Vision of the Annointed, by Thomas Sowell?) I was the kitchen Sergeant at a fair size state prison for two years. I can assure you the food is of excellent nutritional value and is, for the most part, even pretty well presented. It is not at all like slopping the hogs or bread and water or whatever you seem to think is going on. Even the Grand Jury, which regularly inspects California prisons, is typically suitably impressed. Clearly we are never going to agree on Capital Punishment. There are some subjects (abortion is another one) with very little gray area and each side tends to be absolutely sure of their position, often for personal or religious reasons having nothing to do with the actual argument. Have a nice day. Try not to get murdered by a previously convicted killer now released from custody. It would be bad for you.”
And here is how Dorina Lisson responded yesterday to Bob:
“Thanx for the warning Bob. I will note your warning to not get murdered by a previously convicted killer now released from custody because it would be bad for me. I'm not afraid, really! Actually, the chance of that is highly unlikely according to Australian Bureau of Crime statistics. For your information, there are only a handful of previously convicted killers in Australia. Get your facts correct before you open your ignorant mouth! However, your chance of getting murdered by a previously convicted killer is much higher, according to the USA Bureau of Crime statistics. Oh, yes I almost forgot ... you and your pals are all in denial of the truth - the fact that the USA has the highest crime rate than any other country in the world - the only western nation that legally kills its own citizens. The deterrent factor a hypothesis myth but a brutalizing factor is evidence. Hey, you don't have to take my word for it - do the research - open your eyes. Ignorant people like yourselves are discrediting yourselves and your country, while the rest of the civilized world is watching the USA (land of The Free) !!!”

When Bob Walsh speaks, his is the voice of many years of exceptional service as a correctional officer. The ‘caged human beings’ Bob has had in his charge include some of the very worst dregs of society, including many cold blooded killers. His opinions are based on actual experience, not on the drivel of biased authors.
When Dorina Lisson speaks about capital punishment, she is basing her opinions on the biased ‘research’ of those who, like her, are vehemently opposed to the death penalty. When she speaks about the mistreatment of America’s ‘caged human beings,’ it is obvious that her opinions have been formed by writings that are based on the unfounded and unwarranted complaints made by inmates, their families and friends, and by those left-wingers who are hell-bent on discrediting the United States.
So, who is the ignorant one here? IT IS CLEARLY AND UNEQUIVOCALLY DORINA LISSON!
Lisson is the typical zealot. It makes no difference whether they’re left-wing or right-wing. All zealots are convinced that they are absolutely right and that those who disagree with them are absolutely wrong. There is no gray area in between.
Bob and I are not anti-death penalty zealots. We do not go running all over the country, or the world, trying to exhort everyone within earshot to support capital punishment. We do not run around screaming for governments to institute the death penalty. We merely respond to those who want to abolish capital punishment.
Dorina Lisson toots her horn as a human rights activist. Instead of attacking the U.S. - which saved Australia’s bacon from the Japanese during WWII while that nation’s gallant troops were away in Burma, Malaysia and Europe - she should turn her attention to her own homeland.
The Land Down Under has a dismal record of dealing with its indigenous population. Before Lisson goes on running around sticking her busybody nose where it doesn’t belong, she should turn her attention to the plight of Australia’s Aborigines. Looking after the human rights of the Aborigines should keep Dorina occupied for the next decade or so.

ACCORDING TO THE 'EXPERTS', I SHOULD HAVE BEEN DEAD LONG AGO
According to Mike Roizen and Mehmet Oz, the popular You Docs, the real reason to steer clear of steers is that they jack up your risk for many cancers, heart disease, metabolic syndrome -- and, more than anyone knew, stroke. It only takes a little to do a lot of damage. A major new study found that women who eat just 3.6 ounces of red meat daily -- less than a small burger at most diners and fast-food joints -- are 42 percent more likely to have a stroke than those who eat less than 1 ounce. Processed meats are worse: Only 1.5 ounces a day boosts stroke risk by 24 percent.
I think the You Docs are full of it this time. I have been a red meat guy during all my adult life. I love steaks, Texas-style slow-cooked BBQ beef, roast beef, Tex-Mex meals with beef instead of chicken, etc. I have not suffered any of the dire consequences Roizen and Oz are warning us about.
As a kid, I often played with mercury, and I mean often. I haven't suffered any of the ailments that the haz-mat people have been warning us about.
My father was a strict German disciplinarian who gave me many, many an 'ohrfeige' (slap in the face) and many painful butt whippings. By today's girlie-men standards he would have been busted for child abuse. Dad’s harsh punishment has not turned me into a homicidal maniac or someone who enjoys inflicting pain on others. Actually, I believe I am a better person because of my father’s method of discipline.
As an example, after I became a Boy Scout, I quickly attained the first rank of Tenderfoot. But I was in no hurry to advance to Second Class scout. After a short while, my father asked me how far I had advanced. When I told him I hadn’t, he swiftly gave me a stinging ohrfeige. So, up to that time, I became the youngest ever Eagle Scout in my hometown.
While I used corporal punishment with my own kids, it was limited to spankings and I never struck either one in the face.
When I was growing up in Germany and after I came to the U.S. at the age of 10, I slept in bedrooms that were painted with lead-based paints. I did not turn out to be an imbecile as I should have, had the ‘experts’ been correct.
From the time I was in the army, I smoked cigars and a pipe for many years. I have not had lung cancer, a stroke or a heart attack.
Like most cops, I used to booze it up pretty good. My consumption of alcohol has not addled my brains. Maybe that’s because I never smoked any marijuana or used any other illicit drugs.
I just passed my 84th birthday, but according to the ‘experts’, I should have been dead long ago. And while I was alive, I should have been (1) a sadistic psychopath, (2) cancerous, (3) a brain-addled imbecile or (4) a cancerous sadistic brain addled imbecilic psychopath.

BLACKS CONTINUE TO SEE WHITE POLICE AS 'OCCUPYING FORCE'
While putting his arm through the car window may not have been a smart move, the officer had good reason to fear for his life when he was dragged along by a driver suspected of drug trafficking. In my opinion that justified the use of deadly force. The officer even risked his life more by making sure his gunfire would not hit any passengers inside the vehicle. But in the eyes of blacks, he was a white cop needlessly and unlawfully killing one of their own.

FORT WORTH -- As emotions swelled in the aftermath of the fatal shooting of a handicapped black father by a white police officer, Police Chief Jeff Halstead met with church leaders Wednesday to talk about the treatment of blacks by Fort Worth police.
"We understand that tensions are running high in the community, and before it gets completely out of control, we want to make sure that the police know that people in this community deserve fair treatment," said Luther Perry, a founder of Ministers Against Crime.
Also Wednesday, police released more details about the death of Charal "RaRa" Thomas, 32, who was shot Monday night by officer J. Romer during a traffic stop in far east Fort Worth.
Thomas refused to get out of his Ford Expedition and locked the doors. When Romer reached through a partially opened window to unlock the driver's door, Thomas rolled up his window, trapping the officer's arm, police have said.
Thomas then drove forward, dragging Romer, who eventually hopped onto the SUV's running board, pulled his weapon and fired 12 shots at Thomas, police said Wednesday. An adult passenger and three of Thomas' children were also in the SUV.
Thomas lost a leg when he was 12 after he was wounded by a shotgun blast, relatives said.
Police Lt. Paul Henderson, a department spokesman, said officers are not trained to reach through an open window to try to unlock a door as a means of getting a driver out of a vehicle. It was a decision, "good or bad," that the officer made in a split-second. "His intention was to separate the driver from the kids," Henderson said. "No one was any more surprised than he was when the driver rolled the window up on his arm."
Henderson said the department would review the case from all aspects, from a tactical standpoint to procedures and policies, "to see if we can do something better."
‘PHYSICALLY TRAPPED’
According to Henderson, Romer was driving a transport van when he pulled over Thomas at the request of undercover officers who had been conducting surveillance on Thomas for suspected drug trafficking.
The undercover officers were unaware that three children were in the back seat, he said.
Romer found that Thomas was wanted on warrants out of Dalworthington Gardens.
"The officer told him, 'You need to get out of the vehicle because you have warrants for your arrest.' That's when the driver told him, 'I'm not going to jail,'" Henderson said.
First, according to Henderson, Romer reached for the door handle, but Thomas pushed the automatic locks. The officer had begun to reach through the window to unlock the door when Thomas rolled up the window and began to drive forward.
"He's physically trapped," Henderson said. "He can't pull his arm out because his watch is preventing him from getting his arm out."
The officer repeatedly yelled at the driver to stop, he said.
Romer eventually pulled his feet onto the SUV's running board, grabbed the car's luggage rack with his right hand and yanked his left arm out of the window. Now traveling toward Loop 820 at what the officer estimated to be 30 to 40 mph, Romer drew his semiautomatic weapon, pointed it at a downward angle at the driver to avoid putting passengers in the line of fire, and fired, Henderson said.
POLICE INVESTIGATION
The male passenger jumped out of the SUV, rolling into a nearby lawn where he was arrested on outstanding warrants.
The officer also jumped from the SUV as it slowed, getting lacerations and bruises in addition to his arm injuries.
Police investigators will determine the facts of the case and hand it over to the Tarrant County district attorney's office, which will present it as a homicide to a grand jury, Henderson said.
"It's up to the grand jury to determine, based on all the facts, whether or not to indict the officer," he said.
Henderson said Romer, who has been with Fort Worth police for two years and with another police department before that for six years, is distraught and is taking time off.
"We are very, very sensitive to what the three kids have witnessed," Henderson said. "That is a very traumatic incident they're going to have to live with for the rest of their lives, as well as everyone involved. Our thoughts are with the kids and the family because the last thing we want is for those three children, or anyone, to grow up with that image in their mind -- that their mother or dad was killed by a police officer in uniform."
‘OCCUPYING FORCE’
At a gathering Wednesday night at a Stop Six church, Robert Pope of Fort Worth said the police are "an occupying force" in the community and their presence "triggers fear" among those who are pulled over.
Bennie Lathen, who said she is a lifelong resident of Stop Six, said she is fearful of the police, even when she knows she has done nothing wrong.
"I don't care what you say -- your word means nothing next to their word," she said.
Terrence Swanson, who came from Dallas for the rally, said the people in Fort Worth have to put a little more pressure on the police establishment before the entire truth concerning the shooting is revealed.
"We are in a good position right now," he said. "There's going to be a new mayor in Fort Worth. We need to find out the names of the police supervisors and training officers and City Council representatives so that after the facts are gathered, we can hand this to them fresh off the stove.
"We must let them know that they need to police our community the same way they police the people on the hill."

"The officer told him, 'You need to get out of the vehicle because you have warrants for your arrest.' That's when the driver told him, 'I'm not going to jail,'" Henderson said.
First, according to Henderson, Romer reached for the door handle, but Thomas pushed the automatic locks. The officer had begun to reach through the window to unlock the door when Thomas rolled up the window and began to drive forward.
"He's physically trapped," Henderson said. "He can't pull his arm out because his watch is preventing him from getting his arm out."
The officer repeatedly yelled at the driver to stop, he said.
Romer eventually pulled his feet onto the SUV's running board, grabbed the car's luggage rack with his right hand and yanked his left arm out of the window. Now traveling toward Loop 820 at what the officer estimated to be 30 to 40 mph, Romer drew his semiautomatic weapon, pointed it at a downward angle at the driver to avoid putting passengers in the line of fire, and fired, Henderson said.
POLICE INVESTIGATION
The male passenger jumped out of the SUV, rolling into a nearby lawn where he was arrested on outstanding warrants.
The officer also jumped from the SUV as it slowed, getting lacerations and bruises in addition to his arm injuries.
Police investigators will determine the facts of the case and hand it over to the Tarrant County district attorney's office, which will present it as a homicide to a grand jury, Henderson said.
"It's up to the grand jury to determine, based on all the facts, whether or not to indict the officer," he said.
Henderson said Romer, who has been with Fort Worth police for two years and with another police department before that for six years, is distraught and is taking time off.
"We are very, very sensitive to what the three kids have witnessed," Henderson said. "That is a very traumatic incident they're going to have to live with for the rest of their lives, as well as everyone involved. Our thoughts are with the kids and the family because the last thing we want is for those three children, or anyone, to grow up with that image in their mind -- that their mother or dad was killed by a police officer in uniform."
‘OCCUPYING FORCE’
At a gathering Wednesday night at a Stop Six church, Robert Pope of Fort Worth said the police are "an occupying force" in the community and their presence "triggers fear" among those who are pulled over.
Bennie Lathen, who said she is a lifelong resident of Stop Six, said she is fearful of the police, even when she knows she has done nothing wrong.
"I don't care what you say -- your word means nothing next to their word," she said.
Terrence Swanson, who came from Dallas for the rally, said the people in Fort Worth have to put a little more pressure on the police establishment before the entire truth concerning the shooting is revealed.
"We are in a good position right now," he said. "There's going to be a new mayor in Fort Worth. We need to find out the names of the police supervisors and training officers and City Council representatives so that after the facts are gathered, we can hand this to them fresh off the stove.
"We must let them know that they need to police our community the same way they police the people on the hill."

Kanwar Singh Tanwar staged what is believed to be the most expensive wedding in recent history for his son Lalit Tanwar and bride Yogita Jaunapuria.
A £4m helicopter was among the presents from the 18,000 guests invited to the ostentatious replica Rajastani palace.
But Mr Tanwar has been criticized for staging the grand ceremony at a time when India leaders have urged senior figure to rein in their displays of wealth.
A series of corruption scandals involving senior figures have engulfed the country in the past year.
And the grand display of wealth is at odds with the £280m annual aid that Britain has agreed to continue funneling to the country.
But none of that stopped Mr Tanwar when the threw the staggering bash in Delhi earlier this week.
The bride's family is understood to have given the groom a Bell 429 helicopter as a wedding gift. But because it could not be flown to the party they presented the groom with a silver model instead.
More than 18,000 guests watched as the groom arrived in a top-of-the-range BMW. The arrival was broadcast on giant screens as guests waited inside the enormous tent.
Gifts for the guests included up to £30 each in cash, a shawl for the women and a suit for the men, and a silver coin commemorating the occasion.
Even the barber went home much happier having received an impressive £2,000 in tips alone.
The luxury menu for the event is said to have included Thai, Italian Chinese and Indian delicacies which were served by up to 1,000 staff.
Mr Tanwar's secretary said that the wedding had cost 'many crores' but the full cost will not be known until all the bills are received.
'Yes it's true, but how much is the total cost, that's the million dollar question. It is many crores but total expenditure will only be known when the wedding (celebrations) have ended, he told the Daily Telegraph.

MY TEACHER DOESN'T LIKE IT WHEN I'M HONEST
This must be one of those teachers who called in sick so she could demonstrate at the Wisconsin state capitol.

Our teacher asked us what our favorite animal was, and I said, "Fried chicken." She said I wasn't funny, but she couldn't have been right, because everyone else in the class laughed.
My parents told me to always be truthful and honest, and I am. Fried chicken is my favorite animal.
I told my dad what happened, and he said my teacher was probably amember of PETA. He said they love animals very much. I do, too. Especially chicken, pork and beef.
Anyway, my teacher sent me to the principal's office. I told him what happened, and he laughed, too. Then he told me not to do it again.
The next day in class my teacher asked me what my favorite live animal was. I told her it was chicken. She asked me why, just like she'd asked the other children. So I told her it was because you could make them into fried chicken.
She sent me back to the principal's office again. He laughed, and told me not to do it again. I don't understand. My parents taught me to be honest, but my teacher doesn't like it when I am.

The U. S. Geological Service issued a report in April 2008 that only scientists and oil men knew was coming, but man was it big. It was a revised report (hadn't been updated since 1995) on how much oil was in this area of the western 2/3 of North Dakota, western South Dakota, and extreme eastern Montana ..... check THIS out:
BILLION OF BARRELS OF TECHNICALLY RECOVERABLE OIL ASSESSED IN NORTH DAKOTA AND MONTANA’S BAKKEN FORMATION. Technically recoverable oil resources are those producible using currently available technology and industry practices.
The Bakken is the largest domestic oil discovery since Alaska 's Prudhoe Bay, and has the potential to eliminate all American dependence on foreign oil. The Energy Information Administration (EIA) estimates it at 503 billion barrels. Even if just 10% of the oil is recoverable... at $107 a barrel, we're looking at a resource base worth more than $5...3 trillion.
"When I first briefed legislators on this, you could practically see their jaws hit the floor. They had no idea.." says Terry Johnson, the Montana Legislature's financial analyst.
"This sizable find is now the highest-producing onshore oil field found in the past 56 years," reports The Pittsburgh Post Gazette. It's a formation known as the Williston Basin , but is more commonly referred to as the 'Bakken.' It
stretches from Northern Montana , through North Dakota and into Canada .. For years, U. S. oil exploration has been considered a dead end. Even the 'Big Oil' companies gave up searching for major oil wells decades ago. However, a recent technological breakthrough has opened up the Bakken's massive reserves..... and we now have access of up to 500 billion barrels. And because this is light, sweet oil, those billions of barrels will cost Americans just $16 PER BARREL!

A U.N. anti-narcotics agency cited a worrisome rise in shipments of increasingly pure Mexican heroin to the United States, and said in a report Wednesday that Mexican cartels are an increasing threat in Central America.
The International Narcotics Control Board says Mexican cartels are displacing Colombian traffickers, the traditional suppliers of much of the heroin consumed in the United States, and opium poppy production is on the rise in Mexico, said board member Jorge Montano.
Montano told a news conference said that as much as 5,000 hectares (12,355 acres) of opium poppies in Mexico "are basically intended for the United States."
The rise also had been noted by the U.S. Justice Department, which said in a 2010 report that Mexican cartels had more than doubled their heroin production in the preceding year.
Mexico had long been a transit route for processed Colombian heroin, while Mexican production remained mostly semi-processed paste or 'tar.'
But the board said "there are some indications that 'white heroin' of greater purity is being illegally produced in Mexico" and sometimes mixed with Colombian heroin.
The Mexican government recently released figures showing that poppy eradication in Mexico has fallen dramatically since President Felipe Calderon launched an offensive against drug cartels in December 2006.
While the government destroyed 21,600 hectares of poppies in 2005 and 16,900 hectares in 2006, that fell to 11,400 in 2007.
The Mexican army, which does most of the country's eradication work, apparently has shifted its efforts to other activities, such as raiding gang strongholds, patrolling cities and manning checkpoints.
Federal security spokesman Alejandro Poire said eradication is again increasing, reaching 13,200 hectares in 2008 and 14,800 in 2009, the last year for which figures are available.
But Montano said heroin production has been shifting toward Mexico "because the Colombians were very effective in 2008 in eliminating a large number of hectares" of poppy fields.
The report also said that 90 percent of the cocaine entering the U.S. flows through Mexico, though Mexican cartels get most of their money from marijuana sales: $8.5 billion annually, or 61 percent of their estimated annual income.
Mexican cartels are flexing their muscles in other ways, as well.
After Mexico cracked down on imports of precursor chemicals used to make methamphetamines in 2007, the cartels began importing them through Central America, often from front companies in Bangladesh.
He said sophisticated labs at Mexican seaports are better at detecting disguised shipments than those in other countries. Once on land, it is easier to move them across borders.
The report also said that the street value of drugs moving through the Caribbean region at any time is larger than the legitimate economy, though it did not say how it determined that.
The board said Brazil is increasingly used as a route for shipping South American cocaine to West Africa, and it criticized the Bolivian government for a lack of action in combating production of coca, the raw material of cocaine.
President Evo Morales, a former coca growers union leader who expelled U.S. drug agents three years ago, has promoted traditional uses of coca leaf while professing zero tolerance for cocaine trafficking.
But the INCB cited a report from the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime noting that Bolivia's overall coca cultivation had increased 1 percent in 2009 over the previous year, to 119 square miles (308 square kilometers). INCB said that was enough land to allow for the harvest of 40,200 tons of coca leaves — the largest amount in Bolivia since 1998.
"Those developments could increase the risk of coca leaf being diverted for use in the illicit manufacture of cocaine," the report stated.
In Brazil, drug traffickers are increasingly using the country's northeast to smuggle "a significant portion of cocaine from Bolivia, Colombia and Peru," the report found.
The INCB's report recognized Brazil's efforts to curb this trade, but called upon the government "to further intensify its efforts in this regard."

Time was, a celebrity with negative opinions about "ze Jews" could opine about the threat they posed to Western culture until he/she was blue in the face, and many did (Henry Ford and Charles Lindbergh, to name a couple). Then World War II and the Holocaust happened, and (publicly) vilifying the Jewish people fell out of fashion.
But while their ranks have thinned, the rich and famous and Jew-hating are still around. We know because every so often one of them slips up and is forced to issue a hasty apology to keep from hurting sales for their new film (Oliver Stone) or magazine spread (...uh, Bombshell McGee...give me a break, they can't all be A-listers).
And now, a strange new affliction is ravaging celebrity ranks. Who knew that, in addition to other known deleterious effects, such as impaired judgment (David Hasselhoff), aggressiveness (Ben Roethlisberger) and slowed motor function (David Hasselhoff), alcohol also has the ability to transform otherwise upstanding pillars of the celebrity community into anti-Semitic assholes? I've taken to calling this new outbreak "Lou Gehrig's dis...", what's that? Okay, fine, then let's call it "Gin and Jews," and it's already claimed several high-profile victims.
The first to be stricken was Lethal Weapon/Mad Max actor Mel Gibson:
__Nierob refused to comment on reports that after Gibson was stopped for driving at 87mph in a 45mph zone on the notoriously dangerous road he sat at the wheel of his Lexus LS 430 and repeatedly said: "My life is fucked."

__Last Thursday Galliano allegedly insulted Geraldine Bloch, 35, and threatened to kill her pal Philippe Virgitti, 41, in La Perle Bar. Ms Bloch told cops he called her a "dirty Jew face".

Sad to say...yes. Apparently the malady is as indiscriminate as it is devastating. Scientists are baffled, because they know -- from a diagnostic sense -- that alcohol in NO WAY brings out a person's true feelings or amplifies that which is in their subconscious, but instead brings about a re-engineering of one's neural pathways, causing one to see vast, Jewish conspiracies.
Luckily, there is a cure: rehab. Gibson has already come through his stint, and Galliano is going in soon (Sheen's bed has been waiting since 1998). Once they put in their perfunctory six weeks at Trembling Hills or the like, any celebrity will return to the pleasant, welcoming mind-set that is the hallmark of all who are richer and, therefore, better than normal people.

Time was, a celebrity with negative opinions about "ze Jews" could opine about the threat they posed to Western culture until he/she was blue in the face, and many did (Henry Ford and Charles Lindbergh, to name a couple). Then World War II and the Holocaust happened, and (publicly) vilifying the Jewish people fell out of fashion.
But while their ranks have thinned, the rich and famous and Jew-hating are still around. We know because every so often one of them slips up and is forced to issue a hasty apology to keep from hurting sales for their new film (Oliver Stone) or magazine spread (...uh, Bombshell McGee...give me a break, they can't all be A-listers).
And now, a strange new affliction is ravaging celebrity ranks. Who knew that, in addition to other known deleterious effects, such as impaired judgment (David Hasselhoff), aggressiveness (Ben Roethlisberger) and slowed motor function (David Hasselhoff), alcohol also has the ability to transform otherwise upstanding pillars of the celebrity community into anti-Semitic assholes? I've taken to calling this new outbreak "Lou Gehrig's dis...", what's that? Okay, fine, then let's call it "Gin and Jews," and it's already claimed several high-profile victims.
The first to be stricken was Lethal Weapon/Mad Max actor Mel Gibson:
__Nierob refused to comment on reports that after Gibson was stopped for driving at 87mph in a 45mph zone on the notoriously dangerous road he sat at the wheel of his Lexus LS 430 and repeatedly said: "My life is fucked."
__According to police records, Gibson, a strict Catholic, then launched into an anti-Semitic tirade, referring to "fucking Jews" and stating that "the Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world". He also repeatedly insulted the police officers, addressing one female sergeant as "sugar tits".
__Police have confirmed the actor and director was found to have a blood- alcohol level of 0.12%, above the 0.08% Californian limit.

CHICAGO - MAZDA has a creepy problem: a common spider species seems to have developed a hankering for making nests and weaving webs inside the engines of its sporty Mazda 6 sedan.
The Japanese automaker said on Thursday it will be recalling 65,000 vehicles in the United States, Canada and Mexico to outfit them with special screens to keep the spiders out.
'There doesn't seem to be any particular reason why he's chosen the Mazda 6,' spokesman Jeremy Barnes told AFP.
While the spider problem sounds silly, Mr Barnes said it can be dangerous. The webs and nests can block air flow in the fuel tank's vent and this could cause the tank to leak or even catch fire. So far there have been no accidents or fires, but Madza isn't taking any chances.
Since the problem wasn't restricted to a particular geographic region, Mazda thought it best to recall all its affected vehicles in areas where the yellow sac spider lives, Mr Barnes said.
The problem was first discovered in October 2009 when a dealer found a spider web in a canister vent line when a customer brought their Mazda 6 in for repairs after it started leaking fuel. -- AFP

Two people were killed and two were injured, at least one critically, in a shooting attack on U.S. military personnel at 3:20 p.m. local time March 2 at Germany’s Frankfurt International Airport. According to breaking news reports, an armed attacker boarded a U.S. military bus idling in front of Terminal 2 and began shooting. The two killed were a U.S. soldier and the driver of the bus, whose nationality is unclear. The perpetrator is alleged to be from Kosovo, of Albanian ethnicity and 21 years old, according to German media sources. According to news reports, the U.S. forces involved in the attack were on their way to Afghanistan.
There have been plots against U.S. military targets in Germany in recent years. The attack fits in the category of “armed jihadist assault” similar to what American-born Yemeni cleric Anwar al-Awlaki called for in mid-2010 in jihadist Internet chat rooms. Al-Awlaki had been tied to U.S. Maj. Nidal Hasan, who was charged with the November 2009 Fort Hood shooting.
The attack in Frankfurt appears to have been a soft-target attack. Soft targets are vulnerable to attack due to the absence of adequate security or standoff distance. Areas at airports outside the security check-in points are such targets. STRATFOR has for some time predicted that militants would seek out such targets, especially considering their fixation on airplanes. The recent bombing at Domodedovo International Airport in Moscow, for example, targeted the international arrivals area where families, friends and drivers awaited travelers emerging from the terminal. Such areas are difficult to secure because doing so would require essentially cordoning off the entire airport.
If reports of the attacker’s ethnicity are true, this would not be the first time ethnic Albanians have joined international jihad. A number of Albanian individuals were part of the Fort Dix plot in the United States in 2007. U.S. authorities broke up a militant cell in North Carolina that involved an individual of ethnic Albanian origin. In 2009, a U.S. citizen of Albanian descent from Brooklyn, New York, tried to go to Pakistan for militant training. Albanian militants fighting in the Kosovo Liberation Army, however, largely eschewed militant Islam during their fight against Serbia in the late 1990s and in fact allied with NATO against the regime of then-Yugoslav leader Slobodan Milosevic. Recent jihadist plots, however, indicate that the diaspora in the West has had a considerable number of cases of radicalization.

FEDS USE TRAGIC KILLING TO BUTTRESS PHONY CLAIMS
The feds are trying to buttress the phony claims of Mexican president Calderon, the U.S. State Department, ATF and the FBI that 90 percent of the guns used by the drug cartels were obtained by ‘straw buyers’ from gun dealers and gun shows north of the border. A jury has been asked to define assisted suicide in the murder trial of a former convict, hired by a suicidal motivational speaker.
Jeffrey Locker had fallen into financial difficulties and wanted to kill himself, so he twice actively tried to find someone to help him die.
The first man he recruited, homeless Marvin Fleming, took the $4,000 in cash along with some jewellery and knives but ran off without going through with killing Locker.
He then turned to Kenneth Minor, a 38-year-old former convict from Harlem, New York, who is currently on trial over his murder at Manhattan Supreme Court.
Locker, 52, convinced Minor to tie Locker’s hands behind his back and hold a knife at his chest - something upon which both the prosecution and defense lawyers agree.
However, they disagree on whether it was a coldhearted murder or an act of assisted suicide in which Minor held the knife as Locker forced himself onto it.
Prosecutor Peter Casolaro said: ‘Jeffrey Locker was a foolish, dishonest, pathetic man. But Kenneth Minor was a vicious and callous man.
‘Mr Minor ignored the basic principle of human decency, which is not to kick a man when he’s down.’
Daniel Gotlin, Minor’s defense lawyer, said: ‘Mr Locker killed himself. He wasn’t murdered by some wicked man.
‘This was an arrogant individual that used another human being to end his life - a person who was down and out.’
Locker, from a suburb in Long Island, had maxed out his $16,000 credit card limit and his savings fell from $86,000 to $5,800 in the six months before his death.
Defence lawyers have said that his death had been an elaborate plan to defraud insurance companies, having taken out policies worth $14million.
Minor’s legal representatives described Locker as a ruthless conman who took advantage of his persuasive skills to get a ‘sucker’ to help his family get at the insurance policies he took out just before he died.

Both prosecution and defense are expected to sum up their cases later this week when the jury will start deliberating its verdict.

Tempers flared with a team in a nearby tent, and at some point, the allegations say, in came a tear-gas canister.

HPD is not commenting on their investigation, but the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo does solemnly note that Hamby has resigned his position of captain on the Calf Scramble Committee.

GLOUCESTER, Mass. -- A Gloucester man accused of throwing snowballs at police was facing serious charges Monday.
The snowball attack was caught on camera. The suspect’s target was an on-duty Gloucester police officer responding to a call.
“I guess it came very close to his head and shoulder area,” said Lt. Thomas Williams.
Gloucester police said homeland security cameras that they control caught several snow balls flying.
When arrested, the suspect was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.
“Police officers, in the performance of their duties, shouldn’t be distracted by anything,” Lt. Williams said.
Police said the suspect was 27-year-old Keane Kirlan. They said they found him in a nearby alley. They said they didn’t know what prompted the attack, but at the time the bars were getting out.
"He could get in a lot of serious trouble," one man said. "It's really something you should think, but if you're coming out of a bar who the heck knows what you're thinking."

Dorina obviously does not agree with Bob Walsh and me when we say that the death penalty does act as a deterrent to premeditated killings and felony murders.
Let me reiterate a previous statement I made: When I was a California cop (before Gov. Jerry 'Moonbeam' Brown appointed Rose Bird as chief supreme court justice) the state was still executing murderers. There was solid empirical evidence that the death penalty does act as a deterrent. Back then, many armed robberies were committed with empty guns. It was common practice for us to ask a crook why he committed a robbery using an empty gun. The response almost always went something like, ‘I won’t carry a loaded piece because if I do, I might kill someone in a moment of panic, and I don’t want to get topped (executed).’

Actually, there is an abundance of evidence that the death penalty has a brutalizing effect on society. Take a look at the list of countries by incarceration rate (per capita).

The FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center received more than 300,000 reports of Internet crime in 2010, according to its annual report.

Failure to pay or deliver merchandise, scams in which someone impersonates the FBI, and identity theft were the top three Internet crime complaints last year, according to the FBI/National White Collar Crime Center's Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3). Victims of these crimes reported losing hundreds of millions of dollars, the center said.
The IC3, which has logged Web-based crime complaints for 10 years, released its 2010 Internet Crime Report (PDF) this week. Last year, the center received 303,809 complaints -- or an average of about 25,000 per month -- mainly reported by men between the ages of 40 and 59 years old living in the U.S. states of California, Florida, Texas, or New York.
Computer crimes, and various forms of fraud -- including advance-fee, spam, auction, credit card, overpayment, and miscellaneous types -- rounded out the top 10 complaints lodged to the IC3 in 2010, according to the report.
The center has recorded more than 2 million complaints about attempts to defraud people via the Internet since its inception.
While men still predominantly report Internet crimes to the center, the previous ratio of men reporting crimes 2.5 to 1 over women has dramatically narrowed, according to IC3. Now women are reporting crimes nearly equally, according to the report.
Though middle-aged people file the biggest number of complaints, those in the 60-and-over age group account for the demographic with the biggest rise in complaints in the IC3's 10-year history, according to the report.
The FBI does not investigate all of the claims it receives, but 121,710 of the ones reported in 2010 did meet the criteria -- some of which is based on the financial nature of the crime. In those cases, the agency refers the crime to the appropriate law-enforcement agency at the federal, state, or local level.
The FBI has used technology to improve investigations based on IC3 complaints in recent years. The search process is now automated, so law-enforcement analysts investigating the crimes can more easily find patterns on which to build cases. Law enforcement agencies in different jurisdictions, but investigating the same or similar cases, also have better information-sharing tools, according to the FBI.
In addition to complaints from the U.S., the IC3 also fielded complaints from people overseas in 2010, mainly from residents in Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and India.
When the center had information about the people committing the crimes, it found that nearly 75% were men living in California, the District of Columbia, Florida, New York, Texas, and Washington. When perpetrators lived outside of the country, they were mainly from the United Kingdom, Nigeria, and Canada, according to the report.
The report also includes information about alerts the IC3 put on in 2010 around specific Internet scams people reported.
One concerned online apartment- and house-rental scams, while another used denial-of-service attacks on cell phones and landlines as a ruse to access victims' bank accounts. Yet another Internet scam involved people sending fake e-mails looking for donations to disaster-relief efforts after last year's massive earthquake in Haiti.

President Obama made a strong statement in support of the Libyan protesters last Wednesday, condemning Gaddafi’s use of violence and affirming that the United States “strongly supports the universal rights of the Libyan people.” Those include, he said, “the rights of peaceful assembly, free speech, and the ability of the Libyan people to determine their own destiny.”
Obama spoke with satisfaction about “the peaceful transition to democracy in both Tunisia and in Egypt” too, and was pleased that “the change that is taking place across the region is being driven by the people of the region. This change doesn’t represent the work of the United States or any foreign power. It represents the aspirations of people who are seeking a better life.” He vowed that “throughout this time of transition, the United States will continue to stand up for freedom, stand up for justice, and stand up for the dignity of all people.”
The one thing the President didn’t explain was his justification for believing that the Libyan, Tunisian, and Egyptian people actually care as much as he assumes they do about principles and rights such as freedom of speech and the dignity of all people, both of which are mitigated under Islamic law. Nor did Obama touch on why he assumes that they hold an understanding of freedom and justice that is remotely comparable to that of the American constitutional system.
There are numerous signs that they don’t. It isn’t insignificant that Libyan protesters have marked Gaddafi’s picture with the Star of David. Rather, it is an indication of the protesters’ world view, and of the pervasiveness of Islamic anti-Semitism. Egyptian protesters defaced photos of Mubarak in the same way. When Muslim protesters want to portray someone as a demon, they draw a Star of David on his picture.
The demonstrators in Libya, Egypt, and elsewhere in the Middle East may be pro-democracy insofar as they want the will of the people to be heard, but given their world view, their frame of reference, and their core assumptions about the world, if that popular will is heard, it will likely result in huge victories for the Muslim Brotherhood and similar pro-Sharia groups. Hence the ubiquitous chant of the Libyan protesters: not “Give me liberty or give me death,” but “No God but Allah!”
There are also clear indications that the protesters are decidedly anti-American. Even before CBS reporter Lara Logan was brutally raped in Cairo’s crowded Tahrir Square by a mob chanting, “Jew! Jew!,” several other mainstream media reporters from the United States were roughed up or otherwise imperiled, including Anderson Cooper and Christiane Amanpour. These two hard-Left journalists have repeatedly insisted that Islam is a religion of peace and that anyone who says otherwise is bigoted and racist. In Cairo, they ran up against the buzz saw of reality.
Meanwhile, also in Egypt last Friday, one of the biggest crowds of the entire Egyptian revolution thronged to Tahrir Square to hear Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, one of the most influential Muslim clerics in the world. Qaradawi is a genocidally minded anti-Semite who is barred from entering the U.S. and has given Islamic theological justification to suicide attacks against Israeli civilians, endorsed the death penalty for apostasy, and boasted that Islam would soon conquer Europe. The enthusiastic reception Qaradawi received in Cairo on Friday, along with the barring of secular liberal Wael Ghonim from the same stage, were ominous signs that genuine democracy is not in the offing in Egypt.
Indeed, while numerous American analysts praise the “pro-democracy” uprisings in these nations, no secular democratic leadership has yet emerged. The momentum is moving in the opposite direction—that is, toward the Islamic supremacists. Aware of this fact, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev was more realistic than Obama when he remarked on the Middle East situation on Feb. 22. “These states are difficult,” Medvedev said, “and it is quite probable that hard times are ahead, including the arrival at power of fanatics. This will mean fires for decades and the spread of extremism.”
It will be Obama’s responsibility, at least for the next two years, to try to contain and put out those fires. Whether he will have the wit and the will to do so, however, is doubtful at best.

Add Sen. Harry Reid to that list. He wants his state of Nevada to close down all the brothels. Harry thinks that closing down the whorehouses will lead to an increase in tourism. He’s nuts! If prostitution has any effect at all on tourism in Nevada, it doesn’t keep people from coming there. If anything, it’s the reason some people go there.

Which one of these individuals is the hottest mess?
1. Muammar Qaddafi. In yet another rambling speech, he blamed the mass protests against his brutal, four-decade long rule on kids drinking Nescafe spiked with LSD: “Their ages are 17. They give them pills at night, they put hallucinatory pills in their drinks, their milk, their coffee, their Nescafe,” he said. Oh yes: this revolution was brought on by kids drinking in magic ’shrooms. He continued: “From a national, moral, ethical standpoint … they should stop. I have no authority stemming from laws or decisions or anything else, I just have moral authority. I only have moral authority.” He’s slaughtering his own people by the thousands in the streets. Moral authority? Not so much.
2. Charlie Sheen. In yet another rambling speech, he went on a radio show and called the creator/producer of his moneymaker, “Two and A Half Men,” a “turd” and smeared him with an anti-Semitic name; he referred to Alcoholics Anonymous as a “bootleg cult;” he swore at Thomas Jefferson; and he threatened to complete a bodily function on someone. He also went on incomprehensible tirades about trolls, tattoos, and Vatican assassinations. CBS announced they were pulling the plug on his show. Apparently, his drug-addled antics have finally become too much for his corporate parent. Perhaps Sheen is drinking some of that LSD Nescafe.
3. Lindsay Lohan. Her latest run-in with the law involves a felony shoplifting charge. It was a pretty necklace, but it had a price tag. If she accepts the plea deal, it’s back to the slammer for 6 months. She sounds like Charlie’s type. Or maybe Muammar’s—-he insists on female bodyguards.
4. The Wisconsin Democrat state senators, who have now been on the lam for a week. Instead of manning up and voting on the state’s desperately needed budget repair bill, they made a break for the border. The border with the People’s Republic of Illinois, that is. They’ve been holed up in a no-tell motel ever since, ordering in pizza and watching reruns of “Sex and the City.” The state is broke, the governor is trying to fix the fiscal disaster, mass layoffs loom, the unions are causing a ruckus, and these clowns have taken a powder instead of performing the job they were elected to do. I’m sure we’ll find out later that instead of “Sex and the City” reruns, they were actually ordering up porn on pay-per-view.
What messes these messes have made. At least Sheen and Lohan haven’t killed anybody (yet). But Qaddafi is a terrorist to the Nth degree, and the Wisconsin Dems are pathetic losers who are costing taxpayers a fortune. Perhaps if the Wisconsin Dems had some of that Nescafe LSD, they’d come to their senses. Qaddafi should try some too.

A Corpus Christi-area school district is so determined to keep a gay student group from forming that they're kicking the Fellowship of Christian Athletes off campus.
The Flour Bluff ISD is making the move so it can say no groups not directly tied to curriculum are allowed to meet on campus, the Corpus Christi Caller-Times reports.
So, we guess, being Christian is just like being gay. Who knew?
Flour Bluff is trying to keep out a proposed Gay-Straight Alliance organization, because once you let those two groups mingle the next thing you know all your straight kids have caught the gay and lunch breaks are filled with Glee-type sing-offs.
Protests were planned at the district's high school to protest the decision not to allow the GSA, but officials made the idea moot by also banning the FCA.
"We need to be fair and equitable to all," FBISD superintendent Julie Carbajal said.
"They'd rather get rid of all organizations rather than to allow this one to start? Wow," said Paul Rodriguez, president of the Gay-Straight Alliance at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. "If she's not going to allow any other clubs on campus, then we have no ground to stand on."
There's something here about destroying the village in order to save it, but what do we know?

The Flour Bluff ISD is making the move so it can say no groups not directly tied to curriculum are allowed to meet on campus, the Corpus Christi Caller-Times reports.
So, we guess, being Christian is just like being gay. Who knew?
Flour Bluff is trying to keep out a proposed Gay-Straight Alliance organization, because once you let those two groups mingle the next thing you know all your straight kids have caught the gay and lunch breaks are filled with Glee-type sing-offs.
Protests were planned at the district's high school to protest the decision not to allow the GSA, but officials made the idea moot by also banning the FCA.
"We need to be fair and equitable to all," FBISD superintendent Julie Carbajal said.
"They'd rather get rid of all organizations rather than to allow this one to start? Wow," said Paul Rodriguez, president of the Gay-Straight Alliance at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. "If she's not going to allow any other clubs on campus, then we have no ground to stand on."
There's something here about destroying the village in order to save it, but what do we know?

I have to defend the officers on this one. Sure, they could have handled the hostage differently, but that’s easy to say well after this volatile incident is over. Despite the fact that the police dispatcher was given a description of the suspect that differed markedly from that of the hostage, I can understand why, during the confusion that is usually attendant in such incidents, officers would act the way they did. After all, it is well known that bank robbers have tried to escape the scene by pretending to be one of the hostages.
I can understand why this gentleman was so upset. But would the officers have treated him better had he and the suspect both been white? Given the same circumstances, I seriously doubt that.

Cary, N.C. — A Cary man who was held hostage in a bank earlier in February says that police treated him roughly when he was released.
Police say that Devon Mitchell, 19, claimed to have a gun and held as many as seven people hostage at a Wachovia bank on Feb. 10. He let five hostages, including Rev. Lee Everett, leave over the course of three hours.
As he escaped, Everett said, police mistook him for the hostage-taker. He said officers immediately jumped him, kneed him in the back and neck and forced him to ground.
"I remember them screaming, 'Shut up, shut up, shut up,' and I'm trying to say, 'You all going to kill me,'" Everett said. “They just grabbed my arm, they bent my arm back, and they just went to town on my little tail."
Everett said he yelled that he was a hostage, but police didn't realize he wasn't the suspect until they had dragged him across the parking lot and over a fence.
The standoff at the bank on Green Level Church Road ended when Mitchell left the bank holding what appeared to be a gun to the head of a woman and was shot by law enforcement.
Everett, who is black, filed a complaint against police this week, claiming that he was treated differently than the six other white hostages. Police knew the hostage-taker was a black man from a description given to a 911 dispatcher during a call from inside the bank.
The caller described the hostage-taker's purple shirt and red pants. Everett said he was wearing a Harris-Teeter smock and had come from the grocery store, where he works as a produce manager.
An officer apologized after the incident and said they didn't know that he was a hostage, Everette said.
"I said, 'You still don't have to do me like that. You're supposed to protect me, and you (are) the guys to do me in,'" he said. "It was so wrong to treat me like they did."
Everett was taken to the hospital after the incident. He said he suffered ripped muscles in his arm and severe bruising and still has nightmares.

A woman was in critical but stable condition on Sunday after being shot by a Webster police officer during a barroom brawl in which patrons reportedly attacked officers, nearly choking one to unconsciousness, police said.
A patron at Club Eden in the 500 block of Nasa Parkway summoned police to a big fight there around 1 a.m.
Police said the disturbance started when a man hit a woman several times in the head after she burst some balloons with a cigarette lighter.
Two Webster patrolmen responded to the scene and tried to break up the fight but were assaulted by patrons, officials said. The officers used Tasers on several patrons, but the brawl continued, police said.
As one of the officers was trying to arrest a woman, one or more patrons choked that officer from behind, nearly causing him to pass out, police said.
That officer drew his service weapon, and then a patron in front of him grabbed the front of his arm as the group behind him pulled him backward.
Police said one gunshot was discharged from an officer's weapon, striking the woman who allegedly had been assaulting the officer. It was unclear which officer fired the shot.
The woman was taken by ambulance to the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. A second patron injured during the original incident was taken to Clear Lake Regional Hospital in unknown condition.
Police have presented the case to the Harris County District Attorney's Office, with charges against three suspects. Authorities have not identified officers or suspects involved.
