Michael Riley, an officer at the Lake Correctional Institution in Clermont, Florida is facing second degree murder charges following the death of an inmate back in June.
The prisoner has not been identified and the state is being very fuzzy about details other than calling it a "malicious application of force" while acting in his official capacity.
The Grand Jury filed the charges yesterday morning.
