PRO-LIFE, FAMILY-VALUES CONGRESSMAN EXPOSED AS A FRAUD

Married Pennsylvania Republican congressman wanted his mistress to get an abortion

Tim Murphy is a perfect example of a hypocrite.

Murphy is a 64-year-old Republican congressman from Pennsylvania who prides himself in being a family-values man and a pro-life advocate.

Ah but the happily married family-values congressman had a mistress who made the pro-life advocate somewhat unhappy when she got pregnant.

Murphy’s girlfriend was Shannon Edwards, 32, a forensic psychologist.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette managed to obtain a text message Edwards sent Murphy on January 25. The message said:

“You had zero issue posting your pro-life stance all over the place when you had no issue asking me to abort our unborn child just last week when we thought that was one of the options.”

Murphy responded by telling his sweetie that he was not pro-life at all, blaming his anti-abortion messages on his staff:

“I’ve never written them [anti-abortion messages]. Staff does them. I read them and winced. I told staff don’t write any more.”.

As it turned out, Edwards was not pregnant. The affair came to light during Edwards’ divorce proceedings. Murphy then admitted his relationship with the practicing psychologist and blamed the affair, which has ended, solely on himself.

The 8-term congressman has informed the congressional leadership that he will not be running for reelection when his current term expires.

Hmmm, I wonder how many other family-values politicians are cheating on their wives? And if their mistresses become pregnant, I wonder how many of those pro-life politicians will ask them to get an abortion? If I say a majority of them, would I be out of line?
