BRITISH COPS DID WHAT AMERICAN COPS DO NOT DARE TO DO

After knife-wielding Jihadist terrorist was subdued by civilians, British cops shot him dead

After Jihadist Usman Khan stabbed two people to death and seriously wounded three others in a knife attack on Friday near the London Bridge, civilians subdued him. Then the London cops shot the terrorist to death while he was lying on the ground.

Had cops in America don that, there would be an immediate outcry from liberals about cops murdering a subdued man of color. And since the terrorist was a man of color, there would have been anti-police demonstrations and riots in the streets.

In response to the riots, the cops would have been indicted for murder.

Three cheers for the London cops!

News reports say the terrorist was laying there pulling on what turned out to be a fake suicide vest and the London Cops shot him. I'm sure the American Police would have done the same.

This is fake news!

The story here is that the British automatically paroled him under a new parole policy.

I don't know what the dead goat-fucker expected when he flashed a fake suicide vest, but he certainly got what he deserved.

If the cops thought that was a real suicide vest they would never have shot Usman Khan because they would have blown themselves up. Instead of shooting him they would have scattered away in the blink of an eye. This was a pure execution by some smart cops who recognized the vest as a fake.

Howie,

Plastic explosives do not blow up when shot or hit with a hammer for that matter. It takes an electrical charge to create an explosion. A switch or button which is controlled by the hands of the terrorist must detonate it. Cops are taught to shoot the bomber so he/she can't detonate the device. Of course, they can be detonated remotely by a cell phone if rigged for it. Since 911 most cops have attended basic bomb making and disposal schools. Suicide vests are no longer made from TNT. I attended an update for newer bombs in Texas City over a decade ago. Not only did we build them but we also wired them to cars and detonated them. My goodness, this is basic knowledge.

Of course you are right, Trey. I'm quite familiar with C-3. My unit used it in WW2. We broke it into smaller chunks with hammers.

But a number of Jihadists have accidentally blown themselves up, either by unintentionally setting off an electric charge or by using explosives other than C-3. How would the London cops know for sure what kind of explosives his vest was holding if it were a real suicide vest?

They did the right thing by killing him as soon as they came upon him. Eliminate the threat.

I thought SEMTEX was the hot shit for suicide vests. Of course I have no idea how it compares to C3, C4 or anything else. My personal experience is limited to dynamite, old fashioned black powder, various blasting caps and det cord.

Based on RE it would appear that Semtex is a more powerful explosive, since it contains a proportion of PETN which is marginally more powerful than RDX which comprises all of C-4's explosive material. But, RDX has a higher velocity, and might therefore have a greater effect depending on the application. Plus, Semtex contains about 80% explosive versus 91% for C-4 (the rest is plasticizers and fillers remember), so for a given weight, C-4 contains more explosive. Based on that, I'm going to have to say that C-4 is a probably a more powerful explosive.

Realistically, if you're filling a car trunk with bricks of plastic explosive, you probably won't notice much difference in yield between the two. I could be wrong though.
