SCOTUS has agreed to take the case of Donald Trump's tax records. Several people in congress are just DYING to get a look at his taxes. They are POSITIVE they will show that he is in Putin's back pocket, or has engaged in some horrible skulduggery, or both. Maybe the IRS is in Putin's back pocket too is why they didn't catch it before, even though his tax returns are audited pretty much every year.
The subpoenas are actually against third parties that have the records, such as accountants, and are not directed against Trump himself.
Three different congressional committees and the Manhattan District Attorney are after the records.
