Yesterday
the Trump organization announced that Donald Trump would demand an
immediate recount in Wisconsin. It should be noted that it is not
possible to demand a recount until the count is actually certified,
which does not take place in Wisconsin until December 1. Since it
appears the vote split is about 0.6% the recount itself will be granted
as state law says you can ask for a recount if the split is less than
1%.
As I hammer this out,
about 1015 on Wednesday, the whole electoral college thing is still
very much up in the air. Arizona was originally declared by Fox for
Biden, but several other news organizations have either not done so or
withdrawn their earlier declaration. Pennsylvania, Georgia, North
Carolina and other states are still being processed.
Politics as a spectator sport. Fun Fun Fun.
EDITOR'S NOTE: They are whistling in the dark. Recounts rarely ever change the outcome.
