WILL TRUMP BE ARRESTED THIS WEEK, AND IF SO DO YOU CARE ?

I confess (like many issues) to having mixed feelings about this.  I understand that a previous president has NEVER been indicted or arrested in this country.  I feel that we are moving more and more into criminalizing political differences.  Since this prosecution (persecution?) is being directed by a psycho-liberal Soros district attorney, Alvin Bragg, who openly hates Donald Trump that makes it even more likely to be dubious.

I am also bothered by Trump's reaction to this possible pending arrest.  He is calling on his supporters to get out and protest.  Does he not recall that that didn't work out so well on January 6?  The potential for it turning to shit is high and the potential for that shit to land on his doorstep is high.  

 

I am not a lawyer, I am a human being.  It is however my understanding that this charge, if it emerges, will be a blend of state and federal issues tied into Stormy Daniels who Trump may or may not have been banging (probably was) and who paid money to that may or may not have been hush money (probably was) which may or may not have been reportable or illegal or something.

If he is arrested it will certainly galvanize the Trump base.  I am, however, doubtful that they need any help in that direction.  I am also doubtful that this move would get him any significant backing beyond that which he already enjoys.  

I can't help but think that this whole mess is merely for the encouragement of others.  They want any possible future "independent" presidential candidate to know that "the system" will do everything it can do destroy him.  They want any body who might support or even work for any future "independent" candidate that the system will do everything it can to destroy them, and that everything is considerable.  They will be questioned, harassed and hounded by the deep state until the end of their days. 

 

 

 

 

It is also IMHO something of a balance against a Hunter Biden prosecution, which may or may not come out of somewhere in the near future, depending on how diligent the Republicans are about digging in and how afraid the DOJ and IRS are of looking like complete political hacks of the Republicans actually find something.  

Of course it is possible the deep state and the Biden crime family will just hang in there, deny that there is any proof of anything, and keep moving forward.  At least half of the general public does not want to rock the boat, they don't CARE if the government is led by corrupt fools as long as they get their EBT cards and their Covid relief checks.  They don't pay taxes anyway, they consume them.  

I am however worried that another 4-8 years of hard core liberal governance will leave us with a country that is almost unrecognizable and with a citizenry much poorer and much less free than it was 4 years ago.
