It
seems that Haiti has now become a failed state. Criminal gangs have
overthrown the "legitimate" government and most foreign countries that
actually had a diplomatic presence there have pulled out.
As
far as I know the only income there is from manufacturing of baseballs
and pedophile sex tourism. I confess I am surprised there is enough
money there to encourage the formation of semi-organized criminal gangs,
but then again I do not closely study third-world shit holes.
Fortunately
our El Presidente seems to be completely disinclined to put American
boots on the ground to stabilize the place. That is good. It is hard
to stabilize a huge pile of shit.
