Judge Denise Casper
Chief Justice of the U.S. District Court in
Massachusetts, Denise J. Casper, ruled last week that the state CAN
effectively ban the sale of a lot of popular firearms in the state in
the case of Granata V. Campbell.
Justice
Casper asserts that this is not a BAN per say but merely imposes
conditions for sale, i.e. magazine disconnectors being required, melting
temp of component parts (no plastic guns?) and such like.
Functionally
the list is very similar to the the one in CA. where the state only
lets you buy guns that are not known to be unsafe (though does allow
individual police officers and police agencies to buy guns that are not
on the list).
An appeal is already being prepared.
