Proposition 50 in California. I am guesstimating it will
pass by 55% to 60% or there abouts. I wish that it wouldn't, but the
STICK IT TO TRUMP VOTE YES ON 50 campaign has been very pervasive and
apparently very effective. There is a reasonable possibility that
federal court action will prevent implementation but that is far from a
sure thing let alone a done deal.
New
Jersey governors race. The republican, Jack Ciattarelli, has a
respectable chance of knocking off the Democrat, Mikie Sherill.
Competent polling suggest a difference of less than 1% one day before
the election. Polling of course is not an exact science.
Virginia
governors race. Winsome Earle-Sears, a black female conservative
Republican, has only a very modest chance at beating the democrat
Spanberger. Sad, but true. The polling is breaking about 10% in
Spanberger's favor. The fact that the populous portions of northern
Virginia are essentially suburbs of D C does not help matters for any
conservative.

Virginia
attorney generals race. This is a close one. Turns out that the
democrat, Jay Jones, is a hate-filled borderline psychopath and some of
his hate-filled ramblings wishing death on the children of his political
opponents surfaced within the last month. That being said his race
against the republican, Jason Miyares, is so close the polls can't call
it. I SUSPECT that in the long run the voters will be so appalled by
Jones' past conduct they will not vote for him, but politics is so
tribal these days I would not care to bet which way the election will
go. Jones apologized, but how do you apologize for something like that?
