Ramos is a member of the Hayward, CA school board. Hayward is a nice
mostly residential city in the easy bay area. It has, or at least used
to have, a good school system.
At
a public board meeting recently Ramos was questioning a senior staff
member, Sandra Escobedo. Ramos was concerned about the considerable
cost of an anti-racist progressive program called Woke Kindergarten. He
said to the staffer, "Some of the parents here should take a rope and
string you up." The audience actually went quiet for a minute and the
board president, Peter Bufete, jumped in Ramos' shit over the comment.
Ramos apologized and said he was just trying to get Escobedo's
attention.
Ramos is now
under formal investigation by the board for his really dumb-ass remark.
Suggesting that parents should murder staffers is probably a violation
of some policy or regulation regarding work place conduct.
The program to teach kindergarten kids to not be racist is costing the district $250,000 dollars.
