CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY PROFESSOR FACING SERIOUS TROUBLE FOR ASSAULT ON FEDERAL OFFICER

By Bob Walsh

California professor Jonathan Anthony Caravello, and an ICE raid

Johnathan Anthony Caravello is a lecturer at CSU Channel Islands.  His subjects are math and philosophy.  He was just indicted by a federal grand jury for violation of 18 USC 111 for tossign a tear gas cannister at federal officers at the Glass House marijuana raid last month.  He was detained and arrested shortly thereafter the day of the incident.  The California Faculty Association asserted that he had been "kidnapped."  The raid was made on the basis of a federal warrant.

The night before his arrested Caravello addressed a city council meeting in Camarillo, asserting that he had been "patrolling the streets" following armed, masked thugs trying to kidnap his undocumented democrat neighbors.

He could get 20 years.  He probably won't.  He could get fired.  He probably won't.
