The Office of the State Auditor
release an interesting report Friday. The report said that the
Governor's Office and eight state agencies are at considerable risk and
are putting the state at risk via incompetence and lack of efficiency.
The
agencies cited as doing a shit job are the Dept. of Social Services,
the Employment Development Department, the Dept. of Finance (which works
directly for the governor and is his chief fiscal advisor), The Dept.
of Health Care Services, the State Controller, the Dept. of Technology,
the Dept. of Water Resources and the Office of Emergency Services.
These continual screwups are, according to the Auditor, are placing the
people of the formerly great state of California at risk.
The California Globe has a very nice article on this subject today with a ton of graphs and charts.
