Let me repeat something I’ve said many times before:
A lot has changed over the years since our juvenile laws were originally enacted. Children were deemed delinquents in need of supervision who were mischievous by shooting out windows or street lights with bb-guns, who were petty thieves and shoplifters, who hung around on the streets all hours of the night and who were truants or run-aways. Many of today’s juveniles are vicious malicious gun-toting thugs who murder, rape, burglarize and commit armed robberies without regard to their victims. These juveniles are out-and-out dangerous criminals, not the immature delinquent youths our juvenile laws were designed for.
This particular case is in California and I’m in Texas where a 17-year-old criminal is by law an adult. Too bad this scumbag will benefit from Kookfornia’s warped sense of justice. In the Lone Star state, the puke would have been tried for capital murder and if it were not for the Supreme Court ruling that no one can be executed if he was under 18 at the time of the crime, I guarantee you he would have been sentenced to death.
Whether in California, in Texas or in any other state, the laws setting an arbitrary age to distinguish between juveniles and adults have been inappropriate for many years.
17-YEAR-OLD THUG ARRESTED IN MURDER OF 3-MONTH-OLD

The local constabulary in the crime-ridden cesspool of East Palo Alto have arrested a 17-year old gang thug in the murder of a 3-month old baby on Sunday morning.
The young criminal got his happy ass thumped on May 31 by some local Surenos. He thought he saw one of his attackers about 1:00 a.m. on Sunday morning so, like any self-respecting thug he hauled out his gat and started blasting. Unfortunately he is also a stupid bastard as well as a thug and he ended up shooting up a car with a family in it heading home from a baby shower. He killed Izak Jesus Garcia-Lopez and wounded both of the child’s parents. The mother was wounded as she threw herself between the shooter and her children. The baby was shot in the head. Their four-year old was unhurt. The dumb bastard still had the gun he used stashed as his house. Another teenager at the house was also arrested, on weapons charges.
They are both being held at juvenile hall. They have not been identified by the cops due to their juvenile status. Damn, having rights is wonderful. It’s too bad the parents and the baby don’t have so many rights. Also too bad he didn’t try to fight the cops, but these cowardly cruds often lack the guts to shoot at someone who might shoot back. Maybe he will have an unfortunate accident at juvie and save the county the cost of a trial.
