DEPUTIES TO BE PROSECUTED FOR THUMPING BAD GUY

By Bob Walsh

A decision has been made by the San Francisco DA to prosecute two Alameda County Sheriff’s Deputies who thumped a suspect that they pursued into San Francisco.

Last November the deputies pursued a car thief and assault suspect, Stanislav Petrov, 29, into San Francisco. He finally ran out of gas, crashed his car and fled into a Mission District alley. They thumped the dogshit out of Petrov, who undoubtedly had it coming. Unfortunately that action is no longer legally acceptable or permissible.

A third deputy allegedly stole jewelry from Petrov and used it to pay off a bum who was in the alley and saw the thumping. Unfortunately they could not pay off the surveillance camera.

Deputies Wieber and Santamaria seem to be using their batons on Petrov even after he was down and appeared to surrender. Two independent videos seem to support this position.

The deputies are facing charges of ADW, assault under color of authority, and felony battery. The asshole had serious injuries to his hands and head. The asshole’s family is pretty much salivating at the prospect of a civil suit.

Cameras are everywhere. Cell phones, buildings, squad cars and drones. You can't hardly swing a cat without hitting one. The days of the adrenaline filled after the pursuit ass whipping are over.
