The Oakland Port Authority has indeed moved to change the name of the Oakland Airport. They ignored my two suggestions (the Pretty Good Airport In The Middle Of An Open Sewer, or the Mos Eisley Intergalactic Space Port) and went with their own idea, the San Francisco Bay Oakland International Airport.
The San Francisco International Airport (which isn't even in San Francisco) directors pretty much immediately announced their intent to sue.
