The feds are going to prosecute Decarlos Brown Jr. for
the August 23 murder of Iryna Zarotska, 23, on a bus in Charlotte.
Apparently an obscure and seldom used statute gives the feds a handle
for crimes committed on mass transit venues that receive federal
funding.
It seems that the
feds have no confidence in the locals being willing to prosecute
considering Brown's extensive record of serious arrests and zero
meaningful consequences. I can't imagine why they feel that way. (gag
gag cough cough puke)
Assuming
he is actually convicted the feds can croak him. Presumably will be
happy to do so. In theory so could North Carolina but they have not
terminally rehabilitated anyone in 19 years.
