...The Gunpowder Treason and
Plot. Many of us on this side of the pond only know of this incident
from 1605 courtesy of the movie "V." A group of Catholics, including
Guy Fawkes, attempted to blow up parliament. They were unsuccessful.
The failed attempt did them no good at all. It is possible a successful
attempt would have had very much the same result.
