NOTABLE DEATHS ...THE DAY THE MUSIC DIED, FEBRUARY 3, 1959

The Daily Tribune newspaper reports the deaths of Buddy Holly, J. P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson and Ritchie Valens. 

 

 

Buddy Holly, Richie Valens (Ricardo Valenzuela) and J P Richardson (The Big Bopper) died when their charter plan went down in crappy weather on their way to a gig.

It didn't create the stir that Knute Rockne's death in a plane crash caused, but it was notable.
