BLEEDING-HEART JUDGE NULLIFIES JURY’S DEATH SENTNECE BECAUSE TWO-TIME MURDERER HAD AN ABUSIVE CHILDHOOD

I’m sorry, but I cannot buy into the mitigating circumstances of a killer’s troubled childhood. No matter how much abuse a murderer suffered during his childhood, and in this particular case the abuse was awful, that should not allow him to escape a death sentence, thereby in effect giving him a license to kill.

John Joseph Lydon, 40, is a multiple killer. He was doing 69-life at DVI for murdering a cellie when he murdered another cellie. The jury said Lydon should be executed for this crime. The judge said no, citing the fact that Lydon had a rough childhood.

Judge Terrance Van Oss overrode the jury and sentenced Lydon to life without parole. Hopefully they will place him on single cell status this time around.

Lydon's second victim was a child molester. Lydon himself had been molested repeatedly as a child, including by a Catholic priest. His first murder victim was also a child molester. The priest who molested Lydon, John Geoghan, was also murdered in prison.
