OBAMA GOES BALLISTIC OVER OREGON SCHOOL SHOOTING

Obama said the country should be ‘ashamed’ of its mass shootings and blamed them on the failure of Congress to enact his gun control legislation

Obama went ballistic Tuesday when questioned about the shooting at a Portland, Oregon area high school that left one student and the shooter dead. "Our levels of gun violence are off the charts," he said. "There is no advanced developed country on Earth that would put up with this."

Obama called the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting the “worst day” of his presidency. He called the failure of Congress to enact his gun control legislation the "biggest frustration" of his presidency and said, "The fact that 20 6-year-olds were gunned down in the most violent fashion possible and this town couldn't do anything about it was stunning to me. We're the only country in the world where this happens, and it happens once a week."

The president blamed gun violence on our lax gun laws and denied the argument that mentally deranged people are responsible for the mass shootings. The U.S. does not "have a monopoly on crazy people,” he said. “It's not the only country that has psychosis, and yet we kill each other in these mass shootings at rates that are exponentially higher than anyplace else. What’s the difference? The difference is these guys can stack up a bunch of ammunition in their houses."

I’ve got news for the President … The only way to stop the mass shootings and other gun violence is to confiscate all guns and make possession of any firearm illegal for anyone who is not a law enforcement officer or an active duty member of the Armed Forces. If such an act were ever passed by Congress, there is no way the millions of guns in the possession of American citizens, whether law abiding or lawless, can possibly be seized.

Even if Obama's gun control legislation were to be enacted, the crazies and the criminals would still get their hands on guns and ammunition. However, his proposed laws would place gun ownership restrictions on mentally-stable, law abiding citizens. From the rising number of Americans who want to possess guns to protect themselves, here is a little reminder for the President: When seconds count, the police are only minutes away.

Barry hates guns because they give their owners a modest measure of personal security independent of the government. From his point of view that independence is a danger and must be fought.
