Gavin Newsom, the God-Emperor of the formerly great state
of California, wants it known that he has NOT changed his positions.
He has, however, re-evaluated his positions.
The
artsy-fartsy crowd is upset with him, as is much of the print news
business. Gavin's current budget proposal has cut WAY BACK on financial
support of print newspapers (I didn't even know the state was supplying
financial support to these guys) and various levels of the performing
arts, like local theater and music operations. Apparently a combination
of Covid and financial tightening all over has hit these people very
hard. That is a shame. I LIKE live theater and live music. I catch
several performances a year if I can and am a modest financial
supporter.
However, all
is not lost. Gavin is still fully funding legal aid for illegal aliens
and several dozen lawsuits against Donald Trump for him being a Nazi.
The TRULY IMPORTANT SHIT is still being handled.
