The "No Secret Police Act"

Senators Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco) and Jesse Arreguin (D-Berkeley) have introduced SB627, known as the "No Secret Police Act." This proposed legislation would make it a misdemeanor for any law enforcement officer - local, state or federal - to wear masks or facial coverings while interacting with the public, except in limited circumstances such as wildfire smoke or declared public health emergencies.
This bill raises serious concerns regarding officer safety, particularly in tactical, undercover, and high-risk operations where facial coverings can be critical to protecting identities and preserving safety.
CNOA is closely monitoring this bill and engaging with stakeholders to ensure your voice is represented.

California doesn't protect its police officers. Time to get out.
