I watched part of the Major
League Cricket match on the television today. Yes, it was televised.
There were AT LEAST 350 people in the stands at the Coliseum, there may
have been as many as 500.
I
still have no idea how it is scored. The score was 125-1 when I had to
sign off and go over to my lady friend's. Whether your bat is touching
the ground or not when you are making the turns when you run is very
important. I did figure that part out. And I could sort of understand
the announcers. They both spoke English rather than American, so I had
to work at it.
I may have
been able to understand it better had I been drunk, but I was out of
Green Death, so that didn't happen. Life is hard.
ADDENDUM: The Cricket Match at the Oakland Coliseum yesterday
between the San Francisco Unicorns and the Los Angeles Knight Riders had
a total attendance of 5,126. The final score was 219/8 to 187 in favor
of San Francisco. I still have no idea how the scores are made so I
have no idea how meaningful a win by 32 runs is, but there it is. The
spectators seemed to be enjoying themselves and that is at least 5,126
people in Oakland who were not setting fire to shit yesterday, so that
is a good thing.
(Weren't the Knight Riders what the Klan called their terrorists back in the day? Or is that what other people called them?)

There were actually slightly over 5,000 attendees. The final score was 219 SF and 187 LA.
