It is sometimes hard to tell
with the way Trump talks and the way he sometimes reconsiders his
position. All that being said I am fairly sure he just today killed the
California High-Speed Rail Authority. Deservedly so. It morphed from a
sensible $30 billion transportation project to a $120 billion publicly
funded union jobs project, kind of like the old WPA but it never
actually finishes anything, it just spends money.
Without
federal funding it ain't gonna happen. Even WITH federal funding it
PROBABLY ain't gonna happen but would continue to stagger along for a
couple of more years sucking up more and more taxpayer money to no good
purpose, other than to fund union construction worker jobs and thereby
generate political power for the Democrat-Socialist party.
