Governor
Abbot of Texas has asked the FBI to start looking into the situation
with the fleeing legislators. There is an interesting angle on it. The
democrats had been soliciting donations to pay the democrats. The
republicans are calling them Beto Bribes as Beto ORourke has been one of
the big movers and shakers in that arena. Turns out that that can be
considered bribing a public official to not do their job, i.e. commit
nonfeasance in office.
Already
a couple of the democrats have come back more or less voluntarily.
They were being fined $500 a day for no-show days. Works for me.
