THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A LAWYER AND A LIAR IS THE SPELLING

Yeah, right. If you believe this lawyer didn’t know about the funny money, then you must also believe in the tooth fairy.

CRIMINAL LAWYERS?

It appears that there has been a small rash of lawyers participating in the criminal justice system to an unusual degree within the City and County of San Francisco.

The most recent case is caught up in the current imbroglio over the S. F. police lab and drug testing. A lot of drug cases have been kicked because a techie was allegedly stealing drugs from the lab.

In the most recent case defendant Thomas Lenon managed to avoid prosecution for three different cases involving allegations of possession of meth. A gang task force officer was waiting for him outside the courthouse to arrest him in a counterfeiting case. The officer hooked Lenon up and was walking him away when his attorney, Ken Quigley, reached into Lenon's pocket and took his wallet.

The officer, Dan Silver, asked for the wallet back. Quigley refused. Silver threaten to arrest the lawyer. He still refused. Silver did in fact arrest the lawyer. Guess what? The wallet had two counterfeit $50s in it, $5 bills that had been altered to look like $50s.

Quigley was cited for misdemeanor obstruction of justice and concealing evidence. He asserts that Lenon asked him to take the wallet, and denies he knew the funny money was in it.
