LEGGETT PAROLEE ARRESTED IN UKIAH FOR INDECENT EXPOSURE

A parolee from Leggett was arrested in Ukiah Monday after allegedly exposing himself and making a series of obscene gestures and contact with women at an Ukiah female fitness center.
Clarence Bernard Christmas, 39, of Leggett, was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor indecent exposure, misdemeanor sexual battery and violating parole.
Customers of the Ukiah Curves told police Christmas, who was naked from the waist down, came into the facility and began masturbating. When asked by employees to leave or police would be called, Christmas allegedly grabbed a woman's shoulder and then her buttocks. A patron also told police while the first victim was calling police, Christmas continued masturbating and came over and touched her sexually before she was also able to escape.
When police arrived at Curves, they found Christmas facing the entrance to the facility. He was still naked from the waist down and still masturbating. He was taken into custody without further incident.
The last time UPD dealt with Christmas was in May 2010 when officers spotted Christmas, naked from the waist down and masturbating in front of a California Department of Corrections work party. He pleaded nolo contendre in 2010 to lewd conduct in public and received a 60 day jail sentence. In July 2010, Christmas pleaded guilty to possession of mace and received 30 days in jail.
Christmas has served two stints in state prison for felony petty theft with priors in 2008 and second degree burglary in 2005.
