A bartender in Texas was arrested for serving a man who later shot and killed eight people including his estranged wife.
Lindsey Glass, 27, is being charged with a violation of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Code, a misdemeanor, for the incident which began in the Local Public House in Plano, Texas in September of 2017. Her customer, Spencer Hight, 32, later went to a BBQ and football party where his soon-to-be ex-wife was hosting the party. She had filed for divorce because of his boozing. After he shot and killed eight people at the house, inclduign his wife, the local cops terminally rehabilitated him.
Ms. Glass is alleged to have sent text messages to another bartender which suggest she knew she should not have been serving Hight. She also knew both Hight and his wife Meredith and was in fact supposed to be at the party. She called 911 to warn the cops about potential trouble.
The bar surrendered its liquor license after the shooting. Hight was 4X over the legal limit for driving, which means he was basically stinking drunk to the point where a normal person would be passed out.
(I am shocked that nobody at a football party and BBQ in Texas had a gun.)

I'll bet they locked them in their pick up trucks. Might as well leave them at home.
TABC stepped up and did the right thing.
Back in the good old days I worked with an Outpost Agent who walked in a bar after a killing and took the liquor license off the wall. The owner told him to put it back and the Agent tore it up and left it on the floor. The owner said he was going to Austin HQ and complain. The Agent looked at him dead in the eyes and said, "You better have a bondsman on speed dial. You're done."
We never heard a peep from the owner who promptly left town.
