Devin Langford, 13, was in a car with his mother Dawna and siblings when the gunmen sprayed bullets on his family in the Mexican state of Sonora last week. Nine people, including his mom Dawna and brothers Trevor and Rogan died in the massacre, which FBI sources say was a 'targeted assassination' but for which no motive has yet been given.

On Monday, Devin revealed that after the gunmen stopped shooting, they got him and some of the others who survived out of their cars and told them to lie on the ground before driving off. He then walked 13 miles to find help for his wounded siblings, Kylie, Xander, Cody and Brixton. The entire way, he said he thought he was being followed by cartel members.

The boy and his father, along with the rest of their surviving family, have now fled Mexico for the US.
