Two Correctional Officers were injured in a disturbance on Monday at the California Correctional Institution (CCI) at Tehachapi, CA.
Two inmates attacked the two officers. The prisoners are Alfonso Verduzco, 26, out of Riverside County and Christian Rodriguez, 24, out of Ventura County. Both prisoners are doing LWOP for murder.
The matter is being considered an attempted murder against the officers. This is unusual in that most staff injured are collateral damage during inmate riots and not because the officers were targeted specifically.

Have to make it really hard on any inmate who targets a correctional officer. We used to do that. Lately I think...not so much.
