Jesus Alberto Lopez Ortiz was killed when he jumped into a crocodile-infested river in Costa Rica.
Jesus Alberto Lopez Ortiz was a
well-respected soccer play. A couple of days ago he was hanging with
his homies along the banks of the Canas River in Costa Rico when he
either fell or jumped, depending on who you ask, into the river.
The crocodiles were grateful. Shooting at the crocodiles did not improve the situation.
While
the outcome was a damn shame it is difficult for me to work up too much
sympathy for somebody who voluntarily does something horribly stupid
and dangerous.
