Hunter Biden may get some jail time for felony federal firearms violation
Hunter Biden may, or may not, be in real legal jeopardy.
Mostly it depends on how big Weiss' balls are. He has told the judge
he will maybe-probably indict Hunter by the end of the month. The judge
can not ORDER an indictment. If Weiss chooses to accidentally-on
purpose let the statue of limitations run out at the end of this month
there is NOTHING that anybody can do about it. All he has to be willing
to do is right the PR heat. Right now Biden supporters seem to have no
problem with that. They can ignore pretty much anything.
It
is also possible that the Hunter Biden legal team will still be able to
get their sweetheart deal. As I understand it from the talking heads
that is only a very modest possibility, but modest isn't zero. Right
now his legal team is proceeding as if the deal is still valid.
Joe
has already announced that he would not pardon Hunter. There is of
course no way to enforce that promise, especially if he is on his way
out the door. If the special counsel, Weiss, is willing to stand up on
his back legs and say FUCK YOU there is pretty much zero getback at him,
except politically if the Republicans win in 2024 and he knows he
wasn't going to hang around anyway.
Just saying, it would be nice but don't bet the rent money on it happening.
